I am having a hard time deciding what car I am going to buy myself as my test is in 2 days and I want to be prepared

I absolutely love the look of VW Scirocco's, however, my friend has the Scir R and has said that there is not much room in the back for passengers and that the roof is very low for him (He is 5'10 ish and I am just over 6foot)

Alternatively, I do also love the look and feel of the audi S3

What would you guys choose and why?

I am 17 and so safety is a big part of choosing my car too

Why get a car so expensive for your first....

In my opinion your first car is part of a learning curve and if accidents occur it's not gonna be as expensive to fix as your desired car would be.

But if you're definitely going for one of them, I guess I would say the Scrirocco.

I mean, S3 all day long. I like the Scirocco's but I wouldn't buy one, I'd honestly rather a Golf.

So I'd make this out of the Golf R or S3, then it ould become a lot more tricky. If you're a tech guy I would get the S3 as it'll be fully loaded with almost everything you'd need, but then the Golf wouldn't be far behind. It really depends what you want from the car. But since you must have a lot of money behind you, as insurance will be about 3-4k per year.

I would weigh up the pro's and cons of both and some reviews of both.

But if it's out of the Scirocco or S3, the S3 all day long!

Thanks for the opinion bro! Would you be able to explain what makes you prefer the S3 over the VW?

Not gonna lie the scirocco's are cool af but they're older now, not on the same platform as the Golf R and are more similar to a 2012 Golf r, they also cost more than they should imo and they're FWD only not AWD like The S3/Golf R

The S3 is the better choice over the Scirrocco imo. regardless good luck with insurance. My S1 insurance was painful enough.

Thanks for the feedback bro! My area is very desolate and my brother has an S5 that costs 5k insurance (he is 20) and so i'm hoping mine will be under 3k

Why don't you just get whatever one you like? Who cares of other opinions.

The S3 is more of a head turner, you can really tell the difference between one and a A3, where as the Golf/Scirocco models you'd need a badge to tell the difference, at least to an untrained eye.

Also, S3's interiors are nicer than Golfs, it's also a + for the inner badge snob most car people have.

What year S3/Scriocco you looking at?
