Amaze_Fyre wrote13 wrote You're always going to have a bottleneck in your system. What the bottleneck is depends on what you're doing so we can't really answer your question accurately. Bottlenecking isn't something to worry about though, you just buy whatever hardware you can afford. That said, if you're planning on using the system for gaming, I'd probably save some money on CPU by going with Ryzen, and spend some more money for a better GPU.
No, you don't need 16GB RAM. You just need DDR4 RAM, doesn't matter the speed or capacity.
My budget is £650 I am thinking of buying this pc
CyberpowerPC Wyvern 1050Ti Gaming PC - Intel Core i5-8400 2.8GHz, Nvidia GTX 1050Ti 4GB, Intel H310 Chipset, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, Wifi, No OS, Lite 5 [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Its that or an i3 8100 with a 1050 ti and my thinking was to get the i5 and then upgrade the gpu and get more ram later on. Would it be better just to get an i3? And btw ik the pc I linked had no OS I am also trying to find a way to get windows 10 cheap if possible.
I am going to be gaming and what ryzen cpu would you recommend?
Back on topic lads - If you're planning on getting a pre-built PC, I'd focus your attention on a SSD. So if you were thinking of going 16GB of ram, ignore that and pick up an SSD since that prebuilt doesn't have one.
If you want to build your own PC where you can get better value for your money and pick the components that suite your price, then use this
A simplified list of things we need to know when you request a PC build. If you don't answer these questions, we will ask them or simply refer you to this post.
What is your budget and currency? (Pound sign does not work normally, use GBP abbreviation)
Do you need a monitor?
Do you need a keyboard?
Do you need a mouse?
Do you need an operating system?
What will you use the PC for?

You can use Windows 10 for free. You can buy keys from plenty of places for £20-25 if you want an activated version of Win10. First recommendation, don't buy a pre-built. They're shit. Either build your own, have someone build for you, or just buy a used system from Gumtree or something. You're also going to want an SSD.

Depends. R5 1600/2600 is a solid choice, R5 1400 might be a good fit also though. If you're going to build a system yourself, I can recommend a parts list but we'd need more info from you first.
Doesn't an ssd just make load times faster and it turns out I can get windows education which is a version of windows 10 for £13 from someone.
