The 3400mhz in the screenshot you posted is referencing your Processor clock speed, which is 3.4ghz (3400mhz).
The processor doesn't constantly run itself at max clock, meaning it will dip below that number unless it's being fully utilized.
What program did you use to read the 2400mhz? You can use CPU-Z ( [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ) to check information on your memory and CPU.

Set the RAM with the clock, timings, and voltages on the package.
