I have the updated dashboard. And once i plugged the kinect in it siad it needed an update to use the kinect. Can i plug it in to the internet and update it or do i need to flash it on there. If you need to flash it on...does anyone have a download

If you have 12611 dash already my advice is to download the MS 12611 official update to a usb stick and apply that to the jtag. After that you can hook up the kinect and play fine.
I did that just this morning.

Yeah but you would loose your freeb00t and using xex menu etc. Can someone find this out i need to know too?

This is what you need to do. Providing you're already on the 12611 dash you can put the official update on a USB, install it from that without risk of it doing anything bad to your Jtag. It'll just update the Avatar parts that weren't included in the original Jtag update you did.

Seriously just put the update on a USB and install it. It'll take no longer than say 10-20 seconds and you'll be completely sorted.
I did it about 2 weeks ago.
