So I just made mine, and I can't test it out now on my xbox, but I am trying to test it out just on my PC with the internet. I am trying to find which way it is that turns it off and on, but when I flip it either way the internet still stays on. So any help to this would be appreciated, this is my first time making one, but I don't think I did anything wrong, it's pretty simple to do. So yea any help would be appreciated.
EDIT: Got it working, I took off all the tape that I had put on ther to cover the cable and it works perfect. The ground wire kept hitting the copper wire so that's why it wasn't working.

I think so you just expose the copper wire on the orange wire, then tie it around the screw and then screw it down and it should be good to go...If I tried this on my PC just by plugging it into my moden, would it just completely time out my internet or just make it slower?
