Well you could always chance it and send it, the chances are they will just send it back, but they might fix it just because they already have it

i did this but sent a different xbox got mines tottaly fixed even though half of the motherboard was missing

Who will be laughing when the console gets to the Service Center, the techs test it, figure out that you lied about the failure, and send the console back to you without repairing it?
