It was good and bad.
Good because the war ended and many soldiers lives were saved because they didnt have to invade Japan.

Bad because of the sheer destruction.

Helping out other nations keeps the UN happy and helps improve relations between nations.

Japan did not deserve what happened to them, what they teach you in school about its "gods way of revenge after pearl habour" is complete bullshit. The American educational system is screwed up big time.

Agreed, not all of us believe in god. I myself am Buddhist and I do not believe in any of that. No matter what you should always be willing to help save another life, saying "Oh they attacked us!" Is understandable, but nobody on this earth should have the right to decide whether or not another being is killed.

The U.S. went into the war to fight the Japanese not the Germans, it was only till they declared war on us. They did what was necessary, wipe out the main enemy

Ant no offence but I recommend you don't speak on behalf of America unless you actually live here. I've never heard anything about "Gods way of revenge".

The reason the bombs were dropped were to save American lives. The Japanese had no intentions of stopping the war, and were going to keep fighting until their last soldiers even though there was no chance for them to win. In reality the bombs being dropped cost less lives than letting the war go on for who knows how long.

Also, Japan is now one of the USA's strongest allies. Hence the reason we're supporting them so much now.
