It costs like 150 to send it to Sony and 199 to get a new system. Also then I could sell my old one for parts.

So recently my FAT ps3 got YLOD and I wondered is it smarter to get it fixed and take the risk of it breaking again or should I just get a new slim ps3 so it can't get ylod ?

That's not true I've been reading that it flashes red before.

Someone help me, my ps3 keeps turning off randomly and blinking red. I just bought it a couple months ago used and now its doing this ! Its the old 60gb one too if that matters. I hope its not the YLO ...
