Many people say that we are the only life in the universe.. I'm going to tell you why it's nearly impossible for that to be true.
If you look, there are 8 planets orbiting our star alone..
1 of which has life that we are aware of (earth incase you didn't know ).
Now, we live in a galaxy called the Milky Way.
In the Milky way, there are though to be around 1 BILLION stars. You do the math.. That's potential for 8 BILLION more or less planets.
Now, in the entire universe, there are though to be 1 BILLION more or less galaxies.
That equals: 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 (one quintillion) STARS!
That means there is the possibility of having 8,000,000,000,000,000,000 more or less planets in the universe..
Now I know that that number is not correct because not every solar system will have 8 planets in it, but think about it, that number is pretty close to how many plantes are possibly in the universe.. You can't honestly say that out of EIGHT QUINTILLION planets that there is only 1 that has life on it.. There is no way..
Also think about this.. Maybe not everything needs what we need to survive..

im pretty sure there is life in other planets the things is whether they are simple one celled organisms or an advanced society, 1000 years ahead of us

Yes but not every star has planets orbiting them. in fact it is said and i think i just seen this a week ago on DISC that our sun is the only star in the milky way that has planets orbiting it. Astronomers also said finding a planet with a life sustaining surface such as ours is a 1 and a billion trillion chance, not that they arent there but most planets found in the last decade have been baron and lifeless mostly due to their odd orbiting pattern of their star or just meir distance from the star. technically to find a planet that orbits its star exacaly as earth orbits its star and of the same temperature, light distance and life is said to be an astronimical odd. and for planets outside our galaxy astronomers use a hypothesis to judge its surface.

ummm... this is my dad talking he is a doctor and really smart... and an old fart ( hes 50). ok well almost every star has a solar system witch will probably have a life form like the other person here said wether it is a one celled organism or a species that is way smarter than us with alot more technology almost every star has a solar system its just we dont have a powerful enuf telescope to see that far well atleest not that i have heard that you for your time.

People are narrow minded if they dont think there is life on other planets and why do people think these beings are smarter than us, they could just be the same, looking up wondering if there is life out there???

How come we think if there are other societies out there that they are so much more advanced than us. They could be more primitive than us and we could discover them. We do not need to be discovered, we need to discover.

i agree with you mrmacgee and apperently there is life on mars like its underneath mars they had a thing on the news of a mars robot with a camera attached to it and something... or some one threw a rock at it and it broke all of a sudden a rock rolled in front of it then it look in the direction that it came from then another came flying at it and broke it... kinda weird but pretty cool

did you know that there is a planet that is full of snails n the king of all snail is called FRED and he has a slave called barry. they also use pink pigeons as transport. Just thought i would let you know of the snail world.
