Game Information
Release Date: November 11th 2008
Developed By: Activision / Treyarch
Genre: First Person Shooter
Platform: Cross Platform
Age Restrictions: 17+ (Mature)

Synopsis(Wikipedia)
World at War is a game that is part of the Call of Duty series, features a more mature theme than previous installments. The game is also open-ended, as there are multiple ways to complete objectives. The gameplay of World at War shares several features with previous iterations of the franchise. Players fight alongside AI-controlled teammates. They help during the game's missions by providing cover fire, shooting down enemies, and clearing rooms for entry.

Plot (Campaign)
Ok well I think a lot of people will agree with me on this that Treyarch by far has the most impressive campaigns out of all of the Call of Duty series. In World at War you experience some of the greatest events in the "Great War" of World War II. Personally i think World War II was when men were men and it meant a lot to fight for your country when your 17 (at least for my fellow Americans). I feel that this campaign gives you the most realistic experience of WWII that you can get other than talking to the Veterans. In this campaign you go all across different fronts of the war from the American front in the Pacific where you fight to set back the Imperial Army all the way to Europe where you become a part of at what once looked like a defeated Russia at the time but then you come out of the depths of the war and conquer the Nazi Germany army led by Hitler. Everything about this campaign is simply amazing. Im only 18 but i feel this is the most accurate detail of WWII that you can find in a first person shooter. If you want to experience WWII in your own personal way play this game and you will witness all the twist and turns that occurred back in World War II. Personally i feel that this campaign beats the crap out of Black Ops. SO if you haven't played it yet...what are you waiting for!!

Campaign Gameplay
Can't really say anything bad about the gameplay you get to use a variety of weapons and you can tell which ones you like and which ones not so much i love the PPSH-41. You will barely find any repetition throughout the campaign all the missions are unique and there are missions where you get to operate vehicles for example there's one mission when your Russian and you get to drive a tank for most of the mission it's not just one shot and done wit the tanks either you get to drive and shoot them with very little restrictions on where you can go.

Multiplayer
World at War multiplayer consists of 10 prestiges with 65 levels per prestige. Multilayer consists of all the basic game types and the weapons are almost identical to that of the ones you can use in the campaign. You can also unlock a lot more attachments than previous Call of Duty's. You can also enjoy a lot of perks there can give you an advantage when playing online.

Nazi Zombies
This has undoubtedly been the most greatest "Extra" in any Call of Duty" it has probably increased the sales of World at War greatly. Play 4 zombie maps each varying in size, weapons, and extra features such as Pack-a-Punching.It is similar to the "Horde" feature in Gears of War except you can earn points for kills and hits and also there are different power-ups such as "Max-ammo" "Double Points" and "Nuke". You can not beat Nazi Zombies it is endless waves of the undead coming with increasing difficulty every round. If your not into campaign this game is worth buying just for this feature.

Graphics
Graphics aren't as good Infinity Ward's but still arent half bad for 2008 so im not to high on them but they do get the job done and there not eye burning either so there pretty decent.

Rating: 9
Great gameplay for the campaign decent multiplayer and ok graphics and an awesome extra in Nazi Zombies is what makes me give this a 9.

Game Information

Release Date(UK): 25th March 2011
Developed By: Crytek
Genre: FPS Action
Platform: All Platforms
Age Restriction: 16+

Synopsis

Crysis 2 is a first-person shooter video game developed by Crytek, published by Electronic Arts and released in North America, Australia, and Europe in March 2011 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Officially announced on June 1, 2009, the game is the second main installment of the Crysis series, and is the sequel to the 2007 video game Crysis and Crysis Warhead. The story was written by author Richard Morgan. Another science fiction author, Peter Watts, was also consulted and wrote a novel adaptation of the game. It was the first game to showcase the CryEngine 3 game engine.

Campaign Plot

The player assumes the control of a Force Recon Marine named "Alcatraz"; the successor to Jake "Nomad" Dunn the protagonist from the first game. As Alcatraz, players gain ownership of the Nanosuit 2.0 from Army Delta Force officer Laurence "Prophet" Barnes, who returns from the original Crysis, where he was Nomad's commanding officer in Raptor Team. CryNet Systems has been hunting Prophet to retrieve the suit, inadvertently pursuing Alcatraz, believing he is Prophet. The Nanosuit 2.0 gives players more freedom in their options in tackling situations on the battlefield. The aliens seen in the original game have undergone a major redesigning, abandoning the ancient, tentacled exosuits seen in the first game for high-tech humanoid armored war machines that stalk Alcatraz through the ravaged New York City. Crytek has stated their intention to surpass the original game graphically and gameplay-wise, and have claimed that combat in the game will be "catastrophically beautiful".[6] Crytek has also claimed that Crysis 2 will have lower system requirements than the original game, but will still exceed the original graphically[7] and will also support true stereoscopic 3D.[8] More recently, with the release of the PC demo, it is clearly seen that the "minimum" requirements are what's required to run the game on "Gamer" settings at an HD resolution.[9] The "Gamer" setting is changed to "High" in the final game, but for all intents and purposes it is exactly the same as before, and the game can be played at lower resolutions with hardware below the minimum requirements.

Multiplayer

The idea for the Multiplayer is actually quite awesome, using the formula that has [arguably] made Call of Duty (CoD) games so popular, where you gain exp for doing challenges, completing objectives and killing people. Then you create your class with all the fun stuff you have unlocked from guns, grenades, attachments etc. With Crysis 2, its very much the same, the one difference being the Nanosuit! People who have played previous games in the series will be familiar with the Nanosuit, but in Crysis 2 they have made a few changes and changed it to the Nanosuit 2.0. The main difference is the missing modes, the speed mode which kicks in automatically when you sprint, and the strength mode is either missing or automatic (though its less noticeable).

This is what makes the multiplayer so much fun everyone has the Nanosuit 2.0, and everyone has it on a different setting (with different abilities and weapons depending on their class choices). What makes the Nanosuit so fun, is how you can change it easily mid-combat and adapt to any situation, e.g. if you are pinned down by the enemy, one person can cloak and sneak around for the flank to get the upper hand, or if you need to escape by jumping off the tall building just switch Armour mode on so you take less damage from the fall.

Graphics

To sum up the graphics in one word that word would be 'Amazing'. The game was voted "Best Looking Game Of The Year", this just stands out! Everything on the game has its detail to perfection, nothing looks cartoony it just looks perfect. I feel that graphics play a big part in a games life as it brngs out the full potential whether to make you feel like you are playing the game or actually in the game.

Rating: 10

I feel the game overall deserves top marks as it is enjoyable to play and everything about it is just perfectly correct.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2
While a first-person shooter, the game follows the series by including controllable vehicles, including ATVs, APCs, tanks, and helicopters . On foot, players are given access to a variety of real-world small arms such as assault rifles and machine guns. While on foot, players can jump, crouch, and sprint. They can carry one primary weapon and a pistol in multiplayer, or two primary weapons in single player, as well as grenades and other equipment. Players can fire "from the hip", but zooming in and using the weapon's iron sights, reflex sight, or scope (depending on the weapon) will provide much better accuracy when shooting.

Bad Company 2 heavily emphasizes destructible environments. Large sections of most buildings can be destroyed by explosives; some walls and fences break down under barrages of bullets. The game's physics engine realistically simulates the destruction.

The game utilizes a "regenerating health" system, rather than giving players health points as older games in the Battlefield series have done. To accommodate this in multiplayer, the Medic equipment now accelerates health regeneration rather than directly restoring the player's health. If a player is wounded, he or she must take cover and avoid damage in order to regain health. A heavily wounded player will see dirt and blood around the edges of the screen. Along with Battlefield Vietnam, Bad Company 2 is one of only two games in the Battlefield series to show blood[9] without third-party modification.

[edit] Single playerBad Company 2 features a story-driven single player campaign. For most of the narrative, the player takes control of Preston Marlowe, one of the members of the titular "Bad Company". The exception to this is the first mission set prior to the rest of the campaign. Each mission is divided into a series of objectives, often interspersed with cutscenes which simulate the style of films.

Aside from infantry combat, the campaign contains several missions in which the player controls a vehicle, or mans a weapon turret while a teammate controls the vehicle.

While the other members of Bad Company will engage in combat, the game relies upon the player to complete the objectives and kill most of the enemies. The player's allies can never die.

Each weapon in the campaign is considered a collectible - the first time the player picks up that type of weapon, a "Collectible Unlocked" message appears. There are also sensor stations throughout the campaign the player can find and destroy - this is also recorded in the campaign stats. "Supply Drop" crates are scattered throughout the missions, where the player can exchange weapons and replenish ammo. The Supply Drop crates will remember any weapon the player picks up and this weapon will be available for the rest of the campaign.

[edit] MultiplayerMultipayer is class-based, with four classes: Assault, Engineer, Medic, and Recon. Each class has a variety of unique weapons and pieces of equipment, and serves a specific role in combat. There are also some weapons that can be used by any class, such as pistols and shotguns. Each class gains experience and levels up separately.

New items are unlocked by earning experience points, which are gained for performing actions conducive to the goals of the player's team, such as eliminating enemy players, healing teammates, or capturing or defending points of interest. These points also count towards a total of 50 ranks. Bonuses to the base number of points can be awarded under certain circumstances (such as achieving a headshot in the process of eliminating an enemy player).

The multiplayer features 15 vehicles, including new additions, such as the UH-60 Black Hawk, a quad bike, a four-man patrol boat, a personal watercraft, a ZU-23 mounted on a BMD-3 armored personnel carrier, and a UAV helicopter (a Northrop Grumman MQ-8 Fire Scout) controlled via remote computer terminals.

The available maps are set in various environments such as South America and Alaska near the borders of Russia,[10] similar to those seen in the singleplayer.

Players can also use party chat for each game mode.[11] A dog tag system as seen in Battlefield 2142 and Battlefield: Bad Company returns, awarding players with their opponents' dog tags when they defeat them with a knife attack.[12] It uses the PunkBuster anti-cheat program, to protect the game from cheaters in online multiplayer matches.

Screenshot of Battlefield: Bad Company 2's multiplayer mode. The player is armed with an M249 light machine gun.Bad Company 2 comes with several game types. In 'Rush' players must defend or destroy pairs of M-COM stations until either the attackers run out of respawn tickets or all of the stations are destroyed. Lost tickets can be regained by reviving fallen teammates. An M-COM station can be destroyed by planting a charge, using explosive weapons or ballistics, or simply by demolishing the building in which it is located. Not all M-COM stations exist in destructible buildings, forcing players to use a variety of methods to achieve the same goal. 'Squad Rush' is similar to Rush, but consists of only two squads, one defending and the other attacking. The maps used for squad rush are smaller versions of those from both the Conquest and Rush modes. There are only 2 M-COM stations in each round. 'Conquest' features the classic gameplay of the Battlefield series. Players must capture and defend flags for as long as possible. If a base is taken, it can be recaptured, and the cycle can repeat until the game's end. Every kill depletes one ticket, and tickets gradually decrease when one team controls more than half of the flags on the map. Vehicles can spawn once a flag is captured. When one team's tickets are depleted, that team will lose the game. 'Squad Deathmatch' features up to four squads, each fighting against the other. An infantry support vehicle is available for any squad to claim, giving a significant advantage. The first squad to score fifty kills wins the match. Finally, 'Onslaught' tasks one squad of up to four players to capture certain points on the map, allowing the squad to advance. The game is won by capturing all the points. Unlike other modes, the only enemies are bots. This game mode features new lighting and time of day on existing maps, as well as new vehicles. It is available for Xbox 360 and PS3 only, a PC version was planned, however was announced cancelled on Battlefield's official blog.[13]

[edit] Synopsis[edit] CharactersFor the majority of the single player campaign, the player controls Private Preston Marlowe. Marlowe is part of a squad formerly representing a misfit company in a fictional United States Army battalion known as "Bad Company". Other members of the squad include technology expert Private Terrance Sweetwater, demolitions specialist Private George Haggard Jr., and squad leader Sergeant Samuel Redford. The squad, escaping with gold in the previous game but believed to be caught soon thereafter, now work on a special assignment for the Army in securing a dangerous Scalar technology.

Private Preston Marlowe
Marlowe had joined the army declaring "Runs in the family, I guess.".[14] After crashing an attack helicopter into a general's limo, Marlowe is sent to the 222nd Army Battalion, or "Bad Company" in the original game, and returns with the squad in Bad Company 2, although no longer as part of a misfit army battalion. General Braidwood, their new commander, refers to their new placement as "Special Activities Division", but continues to ask for their "unorganized, unorthodox, and lethal" tactics.
Private Terrance "Sweets" Sweetwater
Private Terrance Sweetwater, the technician of the squad, joined the army for a scholarship. Having a keen sense for technology, he expected not to do any fighting, but after being sent to Bad Company, he hoped to get out as quickly as possible.
Private George "Hags" Haggard Junior
Haggard joined the army to blow things up. After blowing up "the biggest ammo dump east side of Paris", he was sent to Bad Company where he continued to blow things up. He does not seek to get out of the army anytime soon.
Sergeant Samuel "Sarge" Redford
Redford was the first person to volunteer to join the company, promised early discharge from the army. After the first mission "Cold War" and retrieving the "Aurora" scalar weapon device, which is revealed to be a fake soon after, Samuel's service time is extended to find an agent named James Aguire, who is mentioned below. He is promised release many times, but his stay is extended when more complications arise.
[edit] PlotThe game begins in October 1944, as a group of US commandos infiltrate an Imperial Japanese Navy-controlled island in the Sea of Japan as part of "Operation Aurora". They secure a Japanese scientist who was working on a secret scalar weapon codenamed 'The Black Weapon,' and escape the island on a submarine. However as foreshadowed by the scientist's warnings the commandos witness the weapon being fired and perish from a resulting tsunami, sparking a myth within the U.S. Army.

In the present day, Privates Preston Marlowe, Terrence Sweetwater, George Haggard, and Sergeant Samuel Redford fight in Russia in an attempt to secure a scalar weapon device. Despite evading Russian soldiers and completing the mission successfully, the device is discovered to be a fake. Impressed with their previous activities, Army General Braidwood assigns them to the special operation of contacting Agent Aguire, much to the disappointment of Redford who had hoped to retire after the last mission.

The squad travels to Bolivia in search of the agent, and after many firefights they eventually save Aguire. Aguire sends the squad to get his intelligence detailing scalar technology from a French satellite that can be controlled from a base in the Andes Mountains. Sweetwater crashes the satellite and the squad successfully defeat a Russian counterattack aimed at destroying it. Marlowe soon finds the data server and proceeds to go down the mountain during a blizzard while dodging Russian patrols, and is soon extracted by the others.

During extraction, Aguire briefs the squad about a man responsible for rebuilding scalar weaponry, Arkady Kirilenko, a Russian Army colonel the squad failed to eliminate in Russia, who is believed to be hiding in Chile. The squad, aided by U.S. forces, find Kirilenko, though he again escapes. Left with only Kirilenko's papers, Sweetwater discovers there is a shipping manifest for an abandoned ship called the "Sangre Del Toro." Aided by the rest of the squad, Marlowe finds the ship and retrieves a compound essential to the use of the weapon, while also finding out the truth behind Operation Aurora - the US military knew it was a suicide mission, and the operation was instead an exercise to learn more about the weapon's power.

While attempting to meet Aguire in Ecuador, their helicopter is shot down and the squad becomes separated. Along with their helicopter pilot, Flynn, they regroup and escape the local militia. Redford gives Aguire the compound before finding out that Aguire double-crossed the squad by allying with Kirilenko. Aguire reveals he wants revenge against the United States for what happened to his father, one of the commandos involved in Operation Aurora. Despite this, Kirilenko betrays Aguire and kills him. Before he can kill the squad, however, Flynn intervenes and saves the squad at the cost of his own life.

The squad is mourning for Flynn when they hear Kirilenko talking through a guard's radio. Marlowe kills the guard, and the squad proceeds toward the city of Quito. Here, after battling squads of Russian troops, Marlowe and the squad find a large cargo aircraft that is believed to house the scalar weapon. This is confirmed as a powerful electromagnetic pulse is suddenly released, disabling all electronic equipment in the city except the aircraft. Everyone except Marlowe becomes disheartened, but he encourages them, and the squad infiltrates the aircraft as it takes off. After a firefight to reach the cockpit, they find it empty. The squad returns to the cargo bay to find Kirilenko attempting to fire the scalar weapon again, now high over the southern United States. With the help of explosives from the plane's armory the squad access and destroy the scalar weapon.

The explosion sends the aircraft plummeting, forcing the squad to bail out, but Kirilenko grabs the last parachute before Marlowe. In free fall, Marlowe kills Kirilenko, allowing Sweetwater to rescue Marlowe. The squad lands in Texas, Haggard's home state. Shortly after, General Braidwood arrives to inform them that they are to aid the U.S. Army against the incoming Russian invasion that recently passed through Alaska and Canada, much to the squad's disappointment.

Campaign

Skate 3 is a great game for anybody im a baseball player never even tried skateboarding and i loved this game i still have it to play for fun. It never gets old. Throughout the story mode you really feel free to roam wherever you want very little restrictions on where you can go. If your like me the only relation to skating that you know is from Rob Dyrdek's Rob & Big and Fantasy Factory thats all you need to know Rob is in this game and also many different types of skaters are in this. You never run out of challenges to play in this Skate until you finish. One of the major +'s in this game is that its not so attached to reality it sucks but not so fake its stupid its just right you can skate off buildings and try to break as many bones as you can but also if you try a ridiculous trick chances are high you will fall. Every challenge you complete you earn points and you can unlock new add-ons for your customizable character or any member of your team very customizable. Great story mode lots of fun challenges and you can't really get bored with this game.

Create Your Own Park

In this skate you have the ability to create your own skate park and release it to the XBL/PSN public and have it get rated among other parks. If you have a good imagination you can make an awesome park with crazy jumps and tunnels and props or you might be a little tied to reality and make a regular park like a skate park in your neighborhood. You can also build your parks in various spots ranging from small buildings to a huge place (Hartley Stadium). This is a great feature and keeps you playing for a long time.

Muiltiplayer

Muiltiplayer for this game is awesome you can play most of the gametypes you can play by yourself with your friends race your friends down certain tracks or verse them in a "Hall of Meat" challenge or just have nice skate session with your buddies and play a game of SK8. Great multiplayer it is yet another feature that can draw your interest for weeks.

Rating: 8/10

I never really play skateboarding games or exotic sport games the closest thing to this game that ive played would be Need for Speed's but once i got this game i fell in love. You can play this game for months ive had it for over a year now and still play it with my friends. This is one of the games that never gets old if your just hanging around on a weekenight then this is the game to play with your buddies.

Game Information
Release Date: November 9th, 2010 (N.America)
Developers: Activision / Treyarch
Genre: First Person Shooter
Platform: Cross Platform
Age Restrictions: 18+ (Mature)

Synopsis(Wikipedia)
Call of Duty: Black Ops takes place during the Cold War, in the 1960s. The story focuses on the CIA-backed clandestine black operations carried out behind enemy lines. These missions take place in various locations around the globe such as the Ural Mountains in central Russia, Cuba, Laos, and Vietnam. The single-player campaign revolves around an experimental chemical weapon codenamed "Nova-6".
The player mainly controls SAD/SOG special forces operative Alex Mason and occasionally CIA agent Jason Hudson, as well as other characters. Mason often works with Frank Woods and Joseph Bowman, while Hudson teams up with Grigori Weaver, a Russian-born field operative. Viktor Reznov, a key character from the Soviet campaign in World at War returns. Its Russian protagonist Dimitri Petrenko also makes an appearance. Black Ops features several historical figures: Mason meets John F. Kennedy, Robert McNamara, and Fidel Castro.

Plot (Campaign)
Well once again Treyarch strikes with an amazing campaign mode in Black Ops. It is very weird in some aspects especially in the end very bizzare in some ways. But it is very cool because they make it very customized to the time period in the 1960's in the way that they make it so the government makes it like it never happened. The campaign can take a good amount of time to play and there are some very good missions in this one i personally like one of the earlier ones where your character basically gives himself up and jumps off the plane leaving to safe them and thats when it all starts you go into the hit. It's very cool how its started with you in the chair strapped down asked questions and you get shocked which is when you have to play and recall the experiences. Then eventually at a certain point towards the end the campaign gets picked up to the point your in the chair answering questions which is really awesome. One other mission that is awesome in this campaign is one that almost is relevant to the Russian Roulette scene in the movie "Deer Hunter" which is a great movie and that scene/mission is awesome. As usual Treyarch uses there campaign to give you a taste of what these wars were like even though there is no true experienced till you are in it. That's basically the campaign very exciting up to the end and one hint ill give you: a quote from the reveal trailer sums it up
"A lie is a lie. Just because they write it down and call it history doesn't make it the truth. We live in a world where seeing is not believing, where only a few know what really happened. We live in a world where everything you know is wrong."

Campaign Gameplay
In this campaign you use essentially every weapon for that time period some more powerful then others also in one mission you are able to pick up the PPSH-41 from World At War (my favorite cod weapon <3) which is awesome. Another plus to this gameplay is the ability to drive a helicopter in one mission and also fire missiles and bullets so its challenging but it is extremely fun.

Muiltiplayer
Black Ops has a campaign consisting of a new 15 prestiges but did not go overboard and the highest level is 50. Most weapons from the campaign are playable in multiplayer. A whole new system has been added in Black Ops that is COD Points to purchase weapons and perks. This is pretty effective and a nice add-on. Also points can be obtainable from certain gun achievements and playing games and also from completing contracts.Muiltiplayer is overally pretty good lots of maps to play on.

Nazi Zombies
Once again Black Ops returns with what i believe is the greatest add-on in video game history Nazi Zombies. In the "Hardened" edition on the game you can receive the original 4 maps from World At War except with weapons from Black Ops along with as of now (June 11 2011) 4 other maps open to anybody. Kino Der Toten / Five / Ascension / Call of the Dead. In this game Zombies has been stepped up so many levels the maps are a lot bigger resulting in new strategies to be used and also new glitches. The story from World At War for Nazi Zombies is continued in Black Ops and is even more in depth. Also the most interesting thing in Black Ops zombies is Easter Egg's the two biggest ones are in Ascension and Call of the Dead. In ascension once its completed by a series of steps and each player receives a death machine for 90 seconds. That was good but Call of the Dead completely 1-upped that with way more interesting/interactive steps to complete it and you have to release the original four characters form a room and once comleted a death machine power up will appear and the player to get it will recive not a death machine but a WUNDERWAFFE DG-2 for as long as you have ammo (can't PaP but can refill ammo w/ a Max Ammo) Also Call of the Dead includes the first Boss, not the anitcipated silver back monkey but George A Romero a Zombie movie producer (irony). In summary Black Ops zombies has really been great so far through 2 Map Packs and it looks like one more to go but everything looks great going into it.

Graphics
Graphics for this game have stepped a lot from World At War but still not as good as Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2. Very clear and very little discrepancies in this one for graphics. So moving on i think graphics will only increase in quality.

Rating: 8
Personally i think World At War was better then this game only because of wepaons and campaign it was just way to hard to beat but every other aspect i give to Black Ops so ill give it a 8/10.

Homefront - Review

Hey TTG, thought I would do a review for Homefront on a scale of 1/10. I mostly made this for those of you who are skeptical about buying Homefront. Anyway, here it is.

Graphics:

7/10
The graphics are the same in both campaign and multiplayer. The graphics are not great or poor. The only problem is that when you turn a corner, there is a short delay on the load of graphics. This can get annoying at times.

Campaign Overall:

6/10
The game can be slow at times and almost feels like you are watching a movie more than playing the game. It has it's action moments and actually it was pretty sad at times. I dont want to ruin ANY part of the story so I will keep quite. The ending was not the greatest and kind of ended at the worst point.

Multiplayer

7/10
The game is slow at some times. At this moment, servers are very slow and it is sometimes hard to join a game. There are not too too<(not a typo) many weapons. There are ALOT of attachments and camos though. The actual gameplay is smooth and the controls are very easy to control. (Basically CoD Controls) It has a Battlefield sense to it with the vehicles. Vehicles in this game, are more like killstreaks. Every kill you get gives you a certain amount of battle points or BP. BP's expire at the end of every game so forget about saving up. The helicopters rape 8) so I would wait til you have enough BP's. Weapons are unlocked by rank and attachments by how many kills you get with each weapon.

Recommendation:

I would recommend this game to mostly anybody who likes the Call of Duty games. This is definitely not like Call of Duty but CoD fanboys will have NO problem adjusting. If you play a game for the gameplay not the graphics, this is the game for you. And hey, the prices are even down for it.

Hopefully you guys found this review useful and please thank the topic if you did. Hope to see you on the battlefield.
