A few years ago, I brought an xbox 360 for my kuzen and sent it to cyprus which is 45 degress celcius plus. It got red ring the first week, it had, e74. Can an xbox slim survive in a very hot country as my kuzen wants me to buy him another and take it over there in august. Is the xbox slim heat proof or can it get red ring from heat? or am i better of buying him a ps3 as its just for offline use.

it is heat proof as it is designed in black to qithheld the impact of high heats. it has 2 fans instead of 1 to allow more air flow hope this helped <3

It is red ring proof. I would also look at buying him an intercooler if he uses it there.

Well nothing is resistant to a meltdown. If you smother the xbox in a towel or a area that covers both the fans then your most likely going to get RDOD.

But there is a 90% chance it will not overheat if you take care of it and not put it in a compact area.

I've never had my slim xbox overheat,

I even wrapped it in a towel and never had the problem!
