Developer wrote Yeah Maybe if you bought a better AMD Phenom like 6 cores with at least 6-8GB's of RAM...
Developer
Neither of those things would improve gaming performance. Games are not well-threaded (Like almost all applications) or memory intensive. And why is everyone convinced that more cores and clock speed equate to more performance? Most applications use few cores and clock speed means nothing when comparing CPUs with different architectures. It used to be important, but it is not anymore.

r00t_b33r wrotevowywowy wroter00t_b33r wrote No, you are not. Try running BFBC2 maxed at 1920x1080 and see if you get anywhere near 60 fps.
i do run it on max... with 1920x1080 resolution, with 75 fps... btw the pnly way to check fps on bfbc2 is with fraps, so running another application, while the game is running at 75 fps is more than enough. computing power. 1gb of graphics memory is plenty. as well as 3.4GHz is plenty
Of course you can on the lowest quality settings. Try it maxed (AA and everything) and see how low your framerate gets. And a graphics card's VRAM (Frame Buffer) is not what determines its performance. Nor does clock speed of a CPU. Fraps does not impact performance very significantly either.
AA is completely useless on 1920x1080... so that is irrelevant.

TTG_Roast wrote I doubt Fraps affects your performance. It probably affects it by barely 1 less FPS.
actually it depends if you're recording or not, when not it may cause from 1-10 fps drop due to windows having to have another process open, but when recording it could make more lag

vowywowy wroteThen you're not running the game at MAXIMUM SETTINGS. Max out the AA and AF and see what your framerate is.r00t_b33r wrotevowywowy wroter00t_b33r wrote No, you are not. Try running BFBC2 maxed at 1920x1080 and see if you get anywhere near 60 fps.

And AA isn't useless at 1080p. If you have a massive monitor/TV, then you'll notice a difference.

Custom made? The processor is good but the RAM honestly 4GB? Go higher so your system will run faster.

You have 20/20 vision, pal? And do you know what AA is? I can tell the difference on my 21.5 inch 1080p panel.
