Should there be stricter rules on underage gaming?

No, the rules are set as a guideline and it is up to the parents/store owners to decide.

Well its not necessarily about the age, its the person. Some people cant handle the maturity needed to play games like that have violence and fighting an guns and such. It could lead to a person doing something like that in real life, like i said earlier depenending on their maturity. If they are grown up enough and know what theyre doing, they do it for fun. Who knows why others do it, and what they WILL do.

Should there be stricter rules on underage gaming?
My answer is no.

When I was below 17, I was never allowed to get the games I wanted to get because of the ratings on the box. I was way more mature than other people my age, and I wasn't the only one. But I wanted to play games like Resident Evil, which gave other people nightmares. Nowadays kids want to play Call of Duty and other games that have online multiplayer to play with friends. I couldn't see that game giving people intense nightmares.

I don't have a problem with most underage players. I have a problem with the ignorant ones, and their parents. It isn't the child's fault that they get upset and start to say certain things that others wouldn't like, it's the parent's fault. Some parents aren't strict enough, and will allow their children to shout out profane language to people, and rant on about being Jewish, Mexican, etc. Also most people complain about little kids because of their voice. That isn't their fault, because they are young. I see no point in picking a fight with a teenager, especially if you are a grown man. Just mute him.

As far as single player games go, if a child wants one and gets past the ESRB rating barrier, let them. They are designed to help the child. So if the kid gets nightmares, he can learn from his mistakes.
Rant off.

As I said before no.
It is up to the parents to be more aware of the things their kids do/say on the web overall.

well it doesn't make a difference because the kids will just get the game anyway and no one can do anything about it. I mean bill gates isn't going to come to your house to steal your copy of MW3.

In my opinion it should be up to the parents whether or not there kids can play more mature games. I started playing call of duty when i was about 11 years old. if they were to be more strict i think there wouldn't be that much people buying the games anymore, therefore less business for the makers of the games.. I think it it should be up to there guardian to decide whether or not there child should be playing those types of games.

On topic: I think they should make it stricter rules because LITTERALY, every  day, I hear a little kids voice, thinking he is a boss at CoD, in which it takes no skill to master it. I prefer Gears 3 mostly cause you hardly see any kids play that game, its more of a "Teen" game if you ask me. Also SOME rated M games have sexual scenes (AKA sex) but it'll cover up in the ending. You dont want little 9 year old watching sex, thats just plain dumb and gets him addicted to it, goes to P***hub then watches some more. Yep, Xbox needs to make stricter rules.

No, I think under-age gaming is fine, but there is a limit.

People say things like, "Games encourage people to shoot/kill others in real life..." I would have to disagree with that because millions of under-age gamers play games like Call of Duty, Battlefield etc and the majority won't do anything like that, it's a minority that will.

In my personal opinion, as long as your parent or carer says you can play that is fine, so no. But I think they should keep everything the way it is currently. I agree that you have to be 18 or whatever to buy a 18 rated game and that it's ok to play them if your parents say so.

Like come on, we've all played games that are above our age level, do you really think this should change?

I think parent should have a choice, games are games, they may be inappropriate, therefore parents should notice and confiscate that game.

And say for example, some random law was approved and it now became illegal to play under-aged games, how could you do anything about it? Are the government going to check our gaming history? No. They aren't

So to sum it up, no. Parents should decide there own restriction.

Yes I think there should just because of things like GTA my friends brother is only young and he heard the swearing in the game and swore at his brother(my friend) and he even tryed to stab him no joke. All this means is that either make a not as violent game like it but it should only be stricter for some games so for things with like a high amount of swearing in them, yes make the age limit stricter but for things like Call Of Duty make it not as strict seen as it doesn't make you/make you want to re-inact the things that happen in-game. Thats what I think anyway

Sorry for the bad Grammar/Puncuation
