First take all screws connecting the board of the xbox to the metal case.
Now look at the side where the harddrive DOESNT go and look at the little holes. Cut all around them with your dremel.

Now all over your power supply there should be connectors like that, plug each fan into one, and if you have to identical fans, they might be able to plug into eachother so they will only use 1 plug!

How to make them run Step 10 (last one)
Now to make your Power supply run you have to tie a green and black wire together, then put over elctrical tape, if you cant find these, they are on the big part that connects to the motherboard, if this doesnt help ggoogle it, there are many results

For 3 pin
You can use a phone charger, or AC adpater

Mount dvd drive on-top of xbox
Ok, well one big cause of RROD is the heatsink under your dvd drive not getting air circulated. Now what you need is a longer dvd drive power cord, and a longer sata cable. The sata cable is easy to find, but the power cord not so much. I bought one off ebay for 12.00.
One you have all supply's,
you follow this
Take apart your xbox and remove the dvd drive.
And now you plug in your new sata and power cord to the xbox motherboard.
Now you want to find a place to mount your dvd drive, the best spot is right on top on the xbox where the drive used to be, so its out in the open.
To mount the drive you can do 2 things, glue it down, or screw it down.
-To glue, Put a dab of gorilla glue or plastic on plastic epoxy on each of the drive legs, and put on top of case where you want to mount, now use clamps and to hold down, and let dry.
-To screw in, you will need a drill and a drill bit. Find longer screws and the hardware store to fit in the drive and get bolts also. Now mark where the holes of you dvd drive are located and drill holes for the screws their. Now stick the screw down in each hole, flip the case over, and use the bolts to fasten down.
Now that the drive is mounted you want to figure out where you want the power cable and the sata cable to come out from. You can use the open hole where the disc tray once was and stick them out there, or cut holes in the back of the case, your choice.
Now stick the wires out and hook up the drive, put back together, and you are done!
it should look like this

to make air circulate through the xbox, take a small desk fan,and put it infront of the hold where the dvd drive was.
So it will blow air through the xbox.

Add new heatsinks, (after mounting dvd drive on xbox)
The heat sink over you gpu/cpu (i forget shich one), the one under where you dvd was, you want to replace that. I recommend this heatsink
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Now replace the little flat heatsink with that. Now, the problem is, the hearsink isnt getting enough air. You have to modify you fan duct.
Cut away the fan duct where it starts to get flat.
Now take some tin foil, and make a tunnel to the new heatsink, so it gets air.
This can all be seen in this video
not my video, one i stumbled across.

I wouldn't like to make this because it looks aweful but you have inspired me to make a cooling fan that will look neat and not dodgy. Alternatively, you could just buy one but i have a dremmel...
