that would require a reball, remove the old un-leaded brittle solder and replace with leaded. But keeping it as cool as possible inside, keeping the air flow to the max will certainly stretch its life out.

A little tip, if you have a rechargeable battery pack in your controller, after you have a had a bit of a session on it, before you turnb it all off plug in your charging lead from console to controller, wait for the little light to turn red to indicate charging and then turn it off via holding the dome down 'Shutdown' and you will see it shutdown but you can still hear the fans turning. This helps cooling even after the console if off, they will stay on for about 5 mins but think of all that heat stuck in there when you shutdown, the fans stop and its just left in there. This way you can get rid of it and prolong the life
