40GB HDD is extremely small, but you can always find external HDDs that have similar amounts of space.

As said 10,000 times: it is a small computer.
An external HDD unit can do it well, but if you're just going to use it to browse the web, it's fine.

I like that you only paid $0.00 for it as well, for that price, it's an amazing computer!

That is a pretty small hard drive for a laptop.
