I have this new tv for my room, and i hooked up my xbox with hdmi and everything, i plugged in my turtle beaches, but when i turn on the xbox i can only hear voice, but no game sounds

any help would be appreciated +rep

Edit: It worked fine on my old tv using hdmi video, just this new tv i plug it in the optical audio and it only plays voice AND they are x41's

The turtle beaches won't work if you have HDMI on.

you carnt use the hdmi cable if u do u need a converter which arnt that expencive i had the sme problem and just stayed with the AV cords (easier)

For turtle beaches to work with hdmi cable will have to buy a hd analog adapter. then you will hear through them again.

Its the HDMI you need av because you need to hook it up diffently

You need the adapter, which costs about $20 at Best Buy or Frys OR if you have an AV OUT input, you can plug in your headset there. And make sure your voice setting are correct too.
Besides that, you can't use Turtle Beaches.

If you have a HDMI you will need a Xbox 360 Audio Adapter Cable for your Xbox

You can use HDMI because that's what I use. All you do is plug the the Red and White in to the audio out. Also mine did this. In the preferences there is a Voice setting sometimes it will turn down the game volume. I hope this helped

mine work fine when im on hdmi and i dont have one of them
