Been a couple years since dubstep took off, and I'm still not convinced that it's worthy of being played through my speakers. I don't even know how people could enjoy listening to BLOOOOOWBOOMBOOMBOOMBLOOOOWWWWWWWW for hours on end. No lyrics, no meaning, just annoying noise. It isn't even a hipster thing, because there's just a select group of weird people who listen to it... not to mention hipsters are stuck on Country, Lupe Fiasco, and Daughtry. So yea, I could make dubstep with a street cone, a broken rubber band, and a dildo... someone explain how it's even worth listening to?

Since when does not having lyrics make music bad? Not a brostep fan (because it's brostep you're referring too, not real dubstep), but I stopped reading there. You don't even make an attempt to understand it as a genre. Upon reading the rest, it's clear you're just being ridiculous. I don't think you understand hipsterism, either. Then the part where you talk about making it? Just... No.

Anyone can make any music. Believe it or not, hipsters like all different kinds of music.

Who wants to hear some guy make screechy noises on a piece of wood with strings while some other guy screams into a mixrophone?

Brostep, which is the type of dubstep you are referring to, I agree, it total trash. But other artists like Knife Party, (they make dubstep and dnb, no butthurt pleas), Nero, and Some deadmau5 songs, are really good, and you do need skill in the program you use, and the soundboards. Listen to trance or progressive house, it's better than dubstep

Nero and Knife Party qualify as brostep. Also Pendulum = Knife Party, which is a brostep/electro house project of Pendulum's.

I'm also willing to say that the creation of good music doesn't necessitate skill. I don't care how difficult it is to make it as long as it's creative and appealing to me.

1. Think of a Name... for instance...Mine is Zetta
2.Find a Logo
3.Download some type of Beat Making Program (Example: FL10,Dubturbo,Abelton etc...)
4.Download Dub VST.
5.Find a Sponsor...
6.Make Songs,Make Money,Get Big!!

If you're saying the creation of electronic music takes skill on the level of that required by classical instruments, guitars, percussion, etc., then you're delusional. Especially using pre-made programs like those you listed. However, some artists like Aphex Twin use electrical knowledge to create sound and make music. That's another type of skill, but it's not to be confused with using a program. I'm in no way knocking your craft, but don't get the wrong idea.
