TeamDekra wrote I own a Husy and a Airdeale terrier currently.

Huskys are great pets but you have to be very careful when taking them on walks. There instinct is to run away at the sign of freedom. But if you get a little puppy then you can raise him/ or her to not do this.

As for my airedale terrier he is an awesome dog! I also know that the father of my dog had won the dog show crufts 2 times which is pretty cool. The coolness of my dog is worth the money I payed haha 800

Just Googled airedale terrier. They are SO cute and cool! I want one! Also, Husky's are my favourite dogs, so I am so jealous of you

Also, lab's are great pets, and I have heard that so are German Shepard's, so a mix between the two would be great

Haha they are awesome dogs. Great with people as well and learns a lot of things like bringing me the newspaper and the thing is I never taught my airedale to do any tricks like sit down, high five. Those sort of things. He just picked them up and he is great. If you ever have the money I would say get one

My grandmother has two airdales. Amazing dogs, and so full of life. They're both getting old (10 and 7), and I've raised them since they were pups. I'm getting a dog to kind of help me through the rough times ahead for me. I'd love if the 10 year old could help me train the new pup, as he's a very smart guy. Thanks for your comment!

I have a German Shepherd and one of the main things they need is lots of space both inside and outside.

I know how big German Shepherds get, and I'm not thinking about a purebred German Shepherd. I'm thinking about a mix between a Labrador and a German Shepherd. This dog wont be as big as a German Shepherd, thank god ;P.

Thanks for the reply.

Labs are such great dogs. I have also heard that GS's are also very loyal and great as well. I would recommend that type of dog. Good Luck!

I got a straight up German Shepperd(9 years old)

He watches kids.
Goes to sleep after everyone is
Sleep in the middle of the owner and kids(between the two rooms for exemple)

General:Best dog for training, they love to be given work not just staying there and sleep

Hes 9years old and act like hes 4 loll

Get a German Shepperd,really

Mine is pure. He doesnt take place and you need to dominate him,do not let him dominate you.

show him whos the boss, then he will obey you...

Their not retarded, thats the owners problem i guess i had 2 german shepperd

First:120lbs died at 11years old,was keeping me(when was a kid) and watching me every move i was doing.

Second:90lbs 9years old(still alive),same thing as my old one but hes a kid a bit haha

Qualities of a German Shepherd Lab Mix

Owning a German Shepherd Lab Mix can be very rewarding. Crossing two lovable breeds can often produce spectacular results, and a German Shepherd Lab Mix puppy is often very easily trainable. Working with your puppy from an early age can make him a well-behaved and well-trained dog later in life, and German Shepherd Lab Mixes are typically not as stubborn as some other breeds.

A German Shepherd Lab Mix is also an excellent dog for families with children. When first introducing the dog to children, it is important to supervise both the child and the dog. However, once your new German Shepherd Lab Mix has become accustomed to your child, they will quickly become best friends.

Because of its size and stature, a German Shepherd Lab Mix is often an intimidating dog. When trained and handled properly, a German Shepherd Lab Mix can be an excellent protector for your home and your family, but it will still be a loving member of your family.

Disadvantages of Owning a German Shepherd Lab Mix

Some critics disagree with the breeding and ownership of mixed breeds. These critics state that it can be difficult to determine
the outcome of a dog that is not purebred, but you can typically estimate a dogs appearance and personality based off of the qualities of the breeds that he is mixed with.

German Shepherd Lab Mixes are active dogs, so it is important that your dog gets plenty of exercise. Those who live in apartments or small homes and those who do not have a lot of outdoor space may find that their German Shepherd Lab Mix becomes easily bored and can chew or damage things around the house. For those who do not have time to give their dog plenty of exercise, it is probably best to choose a different breed
