Activated wrote Sorry if i ask too many questions

If i were to but a set of pc speakers could i hook them up to my laptop to let the sound be played out of them instead as the sound coming from my laptop at the moment is really low

And is there much difference between a Asus Motherboard and a gigabyte motherboard as i dont know why i just prefer to get an asus mother board instead thanks

Last question If i was to custom build a pc for 600-700 would be much difference in performance from a 800-900 build thanks again

PC speakers will work with anything with a 3.5mm jack. What's your budget or what are you getting?

Depends for the motherboard. What two models is it between? The brand means nothing at all.

I made [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] to give people an idea what they can get for budgets from $250 to $1,300.

itsMichael wrote Thoughts on Intel SSDs? I was looking at the 330 Maple Crest 180GB, I do need a larger one, 80GB right now is a really tight fit.

They're some of the best drives, but the 128GB Samsung 830 is the best deal out there right now at $100.

It'll fit any standard ATX PSU unit..

Since it's a media PC, a 380w Antec / 450w XfX will be more than enough..

Another option. The VP-450 is excellent. I'd have a hard time recommending another similar unit.

Hey you recommended me an Asrock Z77 mobo and an ivy bridge cpu. I was researching on CPU's and noticed the ivy bridge is not very good for overclocking and that it gets very hot. I was wondering what is the performance difference between them? Is the ivy bridge overclocked/ slightly overclocked better than an overclocked sandy? Thanks a lot man.

About the same. A 2500K would perform at bit better at VERY high clock speeds, but the features of Ivy make it worth it if possible. Right now the 2500K is priced lower, so it's a better choice.

Okay thanks, I think I will stick with the Ivybridge. I have never overclocked and I don't want to overclock so high that everytime I turn it on I will worry that it will burst into flames! Haha thanks for the help.
