Nissix76 wrote Hi... I have a 140mm fan.. should i use it as a side fan or will it disrupt the air flow?
Is it better to have 2x120mm fans on the hyper 212 Evo cpu cooler or one?
Should i use a 120MM fan for the bottom of my NZXT Phantom 410 case as the fans on the Graphics card blow down?
Should i have 2x120mm fans at the front and one on the Hyper 212 evo CPU Cooler or a 140mm fan at the front and two fans on the Hyper 212 Evo cpuy cooler?
Having a side fan will not disrupt the airflow. If you have it as an intake, it'll blow cold air directly onto the video card. If you have it and are using it as an exhaust, it'll suck the hot air coming from the video card ( implying it blows air into the case ) out of the case.
Having 2 fans in a push / pull configuration will indeed improve temperatures on your CPU but if your temperatures are fine right now, I don't see the need to spend more money.
Case fans located on the bottom of the case are generally useless, especially if you don't have adequate space between the bottom of the case and floor - carpet is out of the question.

there is two fans on the bottom of the graphics card blowing down and the Graphics card is a PCIE3 so its very close to the PSU... the space between the floor and the fan is 3cm so should i have one on the bottom of my case?
and im gonna have a 140mm fan at the front then another one behind it next to the graphics card intaking... then 2x140mm fans at the top 1x120mm fan at the back and one 1x120mm fan at the bottom and 2x120mm fan on the CPU Cooler taking air out

Hi i have 100pounds to improve my computer for christmas and i am wondering what to do it. As the performance side of the computer is pretty good, i wan't to make it look good. Could you find me a case for 50pound? I found the Zalman Z11 Plus that i like, but is there any more? With the other 50 i was going to get a CPU cooler/Power supply, if you could find the two for 50pounds that would be even better, thanks (I didn't know weather to put this on the other topic or not)

After Christmas with my spare money I was thinking of going to work back on my old dimension 3100 and see if I could solve the problem why that card would not work and I might as well because I will obviously upgrade my gpu in future so remember be diagnosed the problem to be either the RAM or PSU? Well I was thinking of buying these 2 things and trying it again?

The Fractal Core 3000 and Zalman Z9+ are what I recommend in the UK. Both are exceptional for the price and which you should get depends on your preference.

Pouring more money in is not going to help it. I said the same thing for the graphics card and I don't recommend this either.

Ahh OK I was just curious of the problem. I have the GPU in my new computer but the thing is I had to take 1 of the screws out of the card its self for it to fit because the screw was touching my chipset and now it fits and works but they are still touching but all the chipset is touching is one of these on the gpu- [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Will it be ok?

Shorts put your hardware in danger. If they can't be avoided, put something non-conductive between them like electrical tape. Something touching the top of a memory module (the thing in the image you linked) isn't going to hurt anything, but still use tape. You DO NOT want a short!

What's better gtx 660 or 7850. I can't decide which one to upgrade to. The 7850 has better overcloacking. Which one would you pick?

but my motherboard has anti surge. Wont that prevent a short?

If you've got the money for a 660, get a 7870. The 7850 is the best at its price point, but the 7870 is at a different one.

Surge protection is something else. If the power supply derps, the motherboard should survive. I assume that's what it means as it makes sense.
