If you only go with 250 mb make sure you phone up your provider and tell them to cap it so you cannot go over and have to pay extortionate fees.

I have unlimited on Verizon and I rarely load YouTube videos. All I do is tweet, FB and check TTG, I usually use 1-2 gigs

Just keep your data OFF unless you absolutely need it. Youll be on WIFI everywhere its available. So, yes and no. I have a 2 gb plan and only used like 16 mbs last month. Lol

How much is the plan?
If you could, i recommend going for a 500mb + option, to have the flexibility and to be safe.
The consequences going over are a huge fine, and even though you say you will not use the internet a lot, you may ask yourself a simple question; do i need to pay this much for this phone for what i will use it for?

In your settings, you can enter Data usage and set it so it disconnects @ 250MB.

250MB is not a good idea with any phone accessing the internet. I can easily run through 500MB in a day with a bit of browsing and some youtube videos.

If you're buying and Iphone 5 and can't afford more than 1gb of data a month it's pointless..

A 2GB sounds correct for you. Youtube takes ALL of your data, trust me. Get a 2GB, save yourself the money.
