Not as long as I've got my Xbox's and my PS3.

Possible when compenis can't think of any more designs and then they will bring back the old designs but if they do end I hope Im long gone lol

They won't price it too high because they know that no-one will buy it if it's $600+.

Consoles may come to an end when you think about it... you can use controllers on pc now.

I think consoles may eventually come to an end (not saying any time soon) here's why:

1.)Consoles are starting to gear towards PC standards, noticeably consoles web browsers that are now out, some actually using HTML5

2.)Most PC games now are starting to integrate gamepad support, such as Popular games like Call of Duty Black Ops and Black ops 2, and 95% of all racing games have had gamepad support for quite a while already.

3.)PC gaming rigs are becoming cheaper every year (excluding failienware) Decent quality builds, from as low as $400, to great build for as low as $600-700. And Overkill for around $1,000.
Hopefully some day companies will realize how stupid they are overpricing their badly optimized pre-builds and sells quality low priced rigs for average gamers.

Some day everything may come together, maybe companies such as Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft will completely form their consoles into the PC platform, since they are already pretty close. (Not like they can't still keep their brand-name.)
