California School Shooting

Gunfire erupted this morning at Taft High School in San Joaquin County this morning.
The incident happened around 9 am Pacific Standard Time. Two, possibly three people have been reportedly shot, and the shooter has been taking custody.
Capt. Eric Coughran of the Kern County Fire Department told sources that the first victims injuries were minor, and they have refused treatment. However, the second victim has been airlifted to a local area hospital. The condition of the second victim is currently unknown.
The shooting occurred on the second floor of the schools Science building. Kern County Sheriffs Department officials are currently going through the school room-by-room in order to secure it, and the shooters weapon has been located and confiscated.
The shooters identity is also unknown.
Students were evacuated to the football field, and are currently being reunited with their parents.
No other details are currently available, but the Kern County Sheriff will be hosting a press conference in just 30 minutes.

Hi, I just thought I should explain to you exactly why banning guns would make things worse. People who get guns to go on mass shootings, do not typically do it legitimately. Furthermore, if we can not secure our borders to keep immigrants and illegal drugs out of the country, what makes you think we can keep guns out of the Country? Criminals will always find a means to get a weapon, and if no one has a gun, no one can stop these criminals. The police cannot be everywhere at once. Why do you think the places shot up are typically schools? Guns are outlawed in schools so the shooter (being the coward that he is) picks somewhere where he won't be shot back at. You think a sign that says gun free zone will stop someone from committing an act like this? Well it doesn't since all schools are "gun free". So.... what makes you think a law making America "gun free" would be obeyed by criminals?
The fact is, criminals would never obey the law. They are criminals. If we made guns illegal, it would be much harder for a criminal to obtain a gun, as they would have to retrieve one by illegal means. This would definitely lower the chances of a shooting.
I would like to at least see automatic guns and large-clip modifications banned.
Here are two reasons we should ban guns (or just automatic guns) anywhere.
- America is the country whose gun/inhabitants is the highest in the world, and its crime/violence rate is by far much higher than anywhere else except maybe countries like Afghanistan or Congo. There is a clear correlation
- Who needs guns? I can rely on an efficient police force, therefore I don't need to rely on a gun to protect myself. Owning guns is admitting that the police in your area sucks.
I think that to own a gun, you should have an university degree. That would be similar to banning guns, since no intelligent person feels the need to prove its virility by owning a big gun.

Schools are Gun Free Zones so it makes them an easy target. now if someone tired this at a gun shop, police station or shooting range they would not get very far maybe 1 death at the most

All you guys talking about banning guns... you guys are not realising what you are saying. Guess what banning guns isn't the problem. It's the people who don't know how to use them. Guns are easy to make slightly difficult to destroy and they last a while. If the person really wants to go shooting then they will make a gun and go on a spree because guns are easy to make.
