Do not spread false rumors. The i7 will show no performance increase compared to the i5 in the applications that he is using them in.

Actually, since he is doing 3D stuff, and using C4D, an i7 would benefit him.

What about if you want outstanding customer service.
What if you want a build quality that makes Sony Vaios feel cheap.
What if you want a premium feel and outstanding smart, yet simple designs.
What if you prefer the fact that they don't freeze half as much as windows PC's.
What if you want something that will last more than 3 years without breaking.

The list goes on, the point is that they're a premium product, and even though they are expensive - you 100% get what you pay for, if you know what you're buying. The only two models left behind are the Mac Pro and MacBook pro (excluding the retina display one).

I'm just saying, that it's not just about POWER POWER POWER, it's about everything else as well.

You don't need customer service if you dont have a problem.
You can buy the best of the best for half the price and make it look unreal.
You can make a simple design for the price of a game
I have a pc beside me for 8 years which has never froze and I built my own and it has never froze and I also have another one which has never froze. SO it is obv how much you seem to spend. Stop buying your pc's from the charity shop.
Also only a complete idiot owns a pc for less than 3 years unless it is time for upgrade.

Dude just because you are a spastic mac fanboy who knows nothing about them.

Hahahaha you really are quite a clever one aren't you. I have not owned, nor will I ever own, a mac. So I have no idea what you're on about. I am certainly not a mac fanboy, and if you tell me that you don't get freezing on your computer, that's utter bull because everyone get's freezing on windows. EVERYONE.

I don't buy my computers from a charity shop thank you, I'm sure I earn a lot more money than you anyway, if you even have a job. I'm sorry, but I cannot be bothered to argue with ignorant, arrogant smart arse people like you. I obviously happen to know more than you.

If you've never had anything go wrong with your computer, then you're very lucky. It's already been shown that laptop CPUs tend to last 4 years, where as deskptops a bit longer at around 10. Fact.

Windows also has an incredible amount of flaws, it's gone down hill since XP. Fact. Vista is the worst operating system today. Fact. I bought a 900 pound Compaq laptop running vista, and I had so many problems with the operating system that I put XP on it.

I don't own anything from apple, and the only times I have - I was disappointed. But that's just me, I don't like the way apple operates. Not everyone wants to build a computer, I swear to god just because we have people on here like r00t, overclocker and generation who have made this forum a lot more active than it used to be, everyone thinks they know everything (I can assure you, I really don't, and I'm happy to admit that). Find me a desktop that works straight out of the box, that comes with a beautiful 27" display, has a user experience no windows computer can give (except maybe some high end Vaio's or thinkpads), and works for years on end. I have friends who still have their G3's, and work absolutely fine.

Think before you post, because you might actually be speaking to someone who is more intellectually brighter than you.

Again, I am certainly no fanboy of apple, however I do know, and I have used their computers and they provide an amazing user experience. Their retina macbook pro is like no other.

Brushed aluminium. A soft, large trackpad. Perfectly placed keyboard, which gives, in my opinion, the perfect clicking sound. An absolute monster of a display, which a native resolution of 2880x1800 - try and find a windows laptop with that resolution.

The processor can't be no, because it uses a mobile motherboard (an iMac technically isn't a real desktop). However, I'm sure that the RAM and hard drive can be.

It's a plenty-powerful computer with a flawless S-IPS WQHD BUILT IN. If you're willing to shell out for it, there's absolutely no reason you should not. Still, you have to consider the inherent aspects of Macs. You'll have to deal with Boot Camp to get your Windows applications to work and honestly if the main reason you're buying a computer is to use it with a certain OS, you should be looking to run that OS as your primary. Upgrades and user-repairability are just two more places the iMac falls short, but the latter is balanced out by Apple's incredible support and brick-and-mortar stores. Apple's customer service should serve as a golden standard for everyone in the consumer tech industry.

A custom-built PC will last as long, if not longer due to upgrades, than a Mac if it is built with quality components an properly maintained. It can also be much cheaper with the same performance, low level of noise, and even high standard of aesthetics. Anything a Mac can do, a custom-built PC can do better.

Judging from your avatar and signature, though, I can safely assume you won't be doing very demanding graphics work. There's no need to spend this much on a computer to get what you want.

Mac are great computer compatible with ipod, ipad, iphone. They don't freeze as much as window computer they have the best customer service great for photo editing and photoshop, coral draw, etc. However is you are using it for 3d it ain't that great i have to use autodesk 3ds max and there is no mac support unless using bootcamp. i would suggest you get a windows pc due to easily upgradeable if your where getting like mac pro (Tower not laptop) thats like the best easily upgradeable even if your using boot camp for gaming it can compete with any pc due to you can upgrade it like a pc. only downside is the price is like 3-4x more expensive then a pc so if your working in 3d moddeling an your getting paid mac pro the best if your not getting paid (not have tons of money) pc is the best option

The Mac Pro is multiple hardware generations behind and it's not even worth considering under any circumstance. EVEN IF you need OSX. It's so bad at this point that you really should build a Hackintosh or have one built, even if you're a professional. If a machine can't get the job done, it can't get the job done. A Hackintosh build would have better specs, quality control, support (dealing with the Mac Pro is nothing short of a pain from my experience), options, and more.

How am I being a smart arse when I just replied to what you said in my own way?
Also stop bragging about the MacBook specs. All they have done is bring in tehcnology that is just in the making. Other words anyone can do what Apple has invented.

Give it a year or less and windows laptops will have it. Maybe 2. Also I was talking to my friend who has this laptop and he has perfect vision and he said the res is not worth the excitement.

Also I actually have had no problems with XP and Windows 7 because When Windows Vista came out I have a funny feeling and felt it was rushed then my sister got it and it is shit.
Not my problem. How do you know Apple didnt have a million problems but do better testing. Windows has problems then they release updates.

Actually I am not going to go on because this could go on for a while and lets just settle with you like em and I do not.
