Kibblre wrote Like, what's the full error message? Almost all the errors tell you to reset your modem.

I'll get the exact message for you in just a minute.

bandit123 wrote is your xbox running through your pc on internet connection sharing

No it's connected directly through my modem, using the ethernet port, not the usb style port.

Take a picture of the error message you get. You sure your internet is up? If you were console banned it would pop up with a message saying your console banned, so thats out of the question. We can't help you much without knowing exactly whats up.

Edit: Didn't see your last 2 messages because i was posting.

Did you recently update your routers firmware? It might have been that your xbox is not allowed to connect because its not on the "list". If I were to go buy an xbox and connect to my router I wouldn't be able to go on the internet without adding its ip and mac address through my router. If you don't have security like that on your router then it's something else.

You could always put your console under DMZ so you don't get restricted by your firewalls.

Haven't updated the router in any way, so that can't be it.

I'm gonna take some pictures right now, so I'll post them in a minute.

ok try this
unplug modem compleatly all wires including coax
give it a minute and plug it all in bit by bit
coax then ethernet then lastley the power
give it 1 minute to boot up and assign a new ip
plug ethernet into the xbox and power on the xbox
IF THAT doesnt work then plug it into your pc and try the below

go to start then run and type cmd a black dos box comes up type in the stuff in bold in order
ipconfig /all
Displays current IP settings in detail

ipconfig /release
Instructs the network host to release the DHCP assigned.
ipconfig /renew
Instructs the network host to request a new IP address from the DHCP server.
NOTE: using the renew command implies a release.

ipconfig /flushdns
Instructs the network host to dump all cached DNS entries.

ipconfig /displaydns
Instructs the network host to display all cached DNS entries.

ipconfig /registerdns
Instructs the network host to register its hostname and IP dynamically to the local DNS servers.

unplug modem and retry in the xbox when ever you take the modem out of the pc ALWAYS turn modem off and plug it back in
