I would say america (New York or Cali) only because you can get that American feeling there. I live in New York and I say maybe go check out the city. A whole different feel than anything else. If you want somewhere warm, California where you can go to the nice beaches and maybe see where all the Hollywood actors reside. It's all up to you in the end but that's my opinion. Hope you pick where you want!
