I'd get an elgato it is much smaller and easier to use. It has a few other benefits as well

im the same I've not tried the elgato yet but the pVR is good


The elgato has better quality (Can record in 1080p)

Get an elgato. I have heard of multiple people having problems with the HDpvr, and the elgato software is just so much better.

Just because you render it in 1080p doesn't mean that its actually records 1080p. Im pretty sure the highest the HDpvr records in is 720i.

Elgato I use it on all of my videos. Its the easiest to set up and has the best quality.
