If humans became immortal, that would literally be the beginning of the end.
Earth would run out of gas, oil, food, electricity, and all fossil fuels.
We would be living in the stone ages again, but worse, in about 20-25 years, you wouldn't be able to move, there would literally be not a damn space to move because of over population.
People need to die for a reason.

Those of us young enough to hang on for another 33 years may be able to extend those three decades into eternity.
Of course, you'd have to be okay with living out the rest of your endless days as something better suited to a James Cameron movie.
But if transforming into a cybernetic humanoid robot sounds like the thing for you, Russian entrepreneur Dmitry Itskov's 2045 Initiative could use a little help from your personal chequing account in order to fund his dream of humans becoming immortal.

We might be able to live thousands of years eventually, but that will take millions of years.

I wish I was immortal. TO just be able to experience how the world changes over time would be amazing. But I mean I remember when people used to live to like 50 max. But our medicine, vaccines, treatment has gotten better allowing us to live to around 85. I don't think we could live MUCH longer just off of medicine and stuff but maybe with implants or something based off the book Unwind, for those who have read it.

If you were immortal, you'd see all of your friends and family, everyone that you've ever know die around you, I think I'd rather die when im older than live forever.
