Which OS do you prefer? If you have used all of these, what do you not like about the other choices?
1. Windows XP
2. Windows 7
3. Windows 8
4. Mac OS X
5. Linux
I know XP and Linux aren't the latest and greatest OS's but if you have used these i would like to hear your opinion seeing as i have used all of these in my vocational classes.

XP is outdated so should be out of the runnings.
Windows 7 nice interface and user friendly, sort of like Vista.
Windows 8 should be kept to portable devices like tablets and phones, my opinion.
It would be better for you to add a poll.

I have tried all, and currently have a Hackintosh, Win 8 and Ubuntu Linux 13.04 on one machine.
I can say hands down that I HATE Mac. It's like a cheap version of Linux.
Windows 8 is just 7 with a new face, the performance optimizations for SSD's are my favorite part of it.
However I primarily use Ubuntu as I like the Linux backend, and it just seems so much more responsive on my hardware than Windows.
Bit ironic as it is a fully free OS
