is there any use in the trading cards once the sale ends? should i just sell them all? what is their use?

You can do all sorts of things with Steam Trading Cards.
You can collect them, trade them, sell them, or craft them into badges.
If you craft a card set into a badge you receive XP for your steam account, and you level up when you gain XP.
I for one, craft my cards into badges and level up my steam account. (I'm level 11 right now)
