It really doesn't bother me, but as someone said above me, it goes both ways, iv'e heard Americans says "it's Soccer not Football"

who cares anyway, regardless what it's called, it's still the same game!

There are always going to be butt-hurt people who'll find any excuse to argue, and I'm afraid this is just 'one of those things' to argue about.
I'm not a huge fan of the word soccer (weird, I know), but I have no problem with people who call it that (mainly people from the States) just because its what it's called over there.

If people love the beautiful game, they should just enjoy it instead of creating petty arguments.

As an American, I know it as soccer. From American to American, we call it soccer. I wouldn't mind either way, but if you're speaking to an American, you can't expect them to call it Football. Same way you say mate, we say friend. It has to do with Nationalities, really.

I feel as though Soccer is a better word for the Sport seeing as how there is already a sport called footbal even though soccer it's Futbol, it clears up a let more things if people just call it soccer

But as an Englishmen why should I call it soccer when we invented football in the 1800's? See that is what annoys me the fact that we should change how we say it to suit people who call it Soccer.

Not our fault the U.S it too lazy to make it's own sport, so they copy rugby make a few tweaks to it and then are too lazy to even name it so they give it a name of something that already exists. I'm sorry but this is the way I personally see it.
