i think the only reason different countries call it soccer is because football is already used in a different sport.
if we what call rugby was called football then we would also call football soccer

In Canada I was brought up with 5 sports. Basketball, Football, Soccer, Baseball, & Hockey. These are the names that I will use until I die.

I don't see why people would even care..
I just think it's because it causes confusion for instance I've seen a football post gone on it and its about soccer, or the other way round if that makes sense

football is the real term for soccer... im American, and I know that.

I however call is soccer on account we American like making hotsweaty men run into each other with an egg in their hand... hence "handegg"

footbaall (soccer) requires more skill in general than American football. its not as hard tk run with the ball in your hands than it is to run with one at your feet.

ive talked to many people who dont play soccer say they have a lot of respect for those who do... it is a game of constant running. constantly sprinting. football you kinda just havr to be strong, be able to take a hit. be able to run at the most 100 yards, and able to throw a football which isn't hard to do.

im not saying I dont like American football. im actually going to a game in a few hours. just saying why does america have to be difficult...

It's not just running with a ball in your hand? It's just like playing soccer. You have to watch out for people trying to take the ball from you except they're trying to tackle you in American football. You can't really say that it's easier, you don't understand how much harder American football training is compared to soccer training and taking hit after hit after hit would put a tear on most people. Yeah, they tackle you in soccer too, and you have less padding, but they're not hitting you nearly as hard as in football.

yes but the ball is at your feet so running extremely fast while dribbling takes a lot of practise

What's so hard about accepting the term soccer. OMG it's football not soccer. Who cares it's just a sport. Football to us is handegg to them. Football to them is soccer to us. We get it now lets just accept it and move past it.
