I personally have the Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 and have OC'd my 6300 to 4.6GHz and the board didn't seem to notice it. It is a very strong board and great for overclocking.

The only other one i considered was the UD3 from Gigabyte.

The only reason i chose the EVO is for the color scheme lol. I hate blue!

Its not necessarily the phase count, more the quality of the components. ASUS use their DIGI+ power system and DIGI VRM which is pretty good.

The EVO is very blue? Did you get a gaming edition or some jazz?

I don't mean the PCB, the PCI slots and shaz are all blue.

But yeah, the UD3 is more blue.

Oh yeah the Heatsinks are blue, but they look epic as it's brushed metal.

But my Hyper 212 EVO hides most of them.

Then comes the 290X.
