a 12 in the ratio 1 2
40 in the ratio 1 3
60 g in the ratio 1 5

You times it by what's on the other side i.e 1:9 = 10x9 = 90

i will do the first 2,
1. 1+2 = 3 parts
12 / 3 = 4
1 x 4 = 4
2 x = 8
4:8

2. 1 + 3 = 4 parts
40 / 4 = 10
1 x 10 = 10
3 x 10 = 30
= 10:30

You add the ratio together, for example 1:3 = 1+3=4

Then divide the first number by the added ratio.

Once you have that number you times that number by the original ratio 1:3

E.g.

20 in the ratio 2:3

2+3 = 5

20/5= 4

4x2
4x3

Then you have your ratio
