Come on!? Who doesn't want free gold? Its there money, but i see where you are coming from... You should at least have a good reason except the fact you are trying to get gold gifter..

So you're basically saying that gifting someone gold who you don't know is pointless?

I gift gold to the people I talk to, to the people that I see often around the forums and also the people in the shoutbox that I find funny so on so forth.

It's their money, they can do what they want with it. I have gifted 144 people out of my own hard earned money which equals up to $859.68, I could of spent that money on something else if I wanted to but I didn't. The money that comes from gifting gold goes towards servers etc.

Personally, I think it is kind of people to do stuff like gifting, I like what they do for the community

I don't understand why people do it either, but its there money and they can do what they want with it. I just wish they would chose more.....deserving members, I have been seeing a lot of gold members with like 70 post and there motto says Gold Gifted by ______

If someone wants to gift someone gold just out of the blue, let them do that and respect that.

Nothing we can do, is going to be able to stop that.

End of the day, there donating money to TTG by buying that person gold.

I agree, but like the post above me has said, nobody can label someone as undeserving, but you can label someone as less deserving.
If you have a member with 7000+ Posts, a 5:1 Useful/Unuseful post ratio, and 800+ Thanks on their topics, it's obvious that they deserve gold more than the guy who joined yesterday looking for a modded lobby on a game who just wants it to 'try it out and change my name lel.'

Sometimes these differences are overlooked, and they really shouldn't be.
People shouldn't gift gold just so they get the badge, they can by all means do that if they want to, but the point this post is making is that they shouldn't.

The way I choose is simple:

It starts out by looking when they have joined...

1.How long has the member been active.
2.Are their posts helpful and not flaming?
3.How much rep have they gotten from other members?
4.How much thanks do they have?
