I think that that you should be 16 to get your permit and you should be able to get your license when your 17, 15 and 16 are too young imo to have your license, and most people usually get jobs between 17-18 years old.

Well , i live in Belgium and here you NEED to be 18 before you can drive on the publice road , and im 16 right now and i only drive a scooter and in this weather , believe me it sucks so it would be awsome if you can be 16 and drive with a car just like in america!

Zoidberg wrote I'm strongly against this. I'm 17, and have been driving for a year and a half, and have posed no threat to anyone. Bad drivers come in all shapes and sizes, the majority of teen drivers are very conscientious (myself for example) because they aren't very experienced and don't know what to expect with all that power behind the wheel.Exactly, it's not because drivers are young that they're getting into accidents, it's because they're inexperienced. Plus, you're trained VERY well before you're allowed to drive.
So basically, there would be the same amount of dangers if they raised it to age 18.

I reckon 16, but you can't drive past a certain age like 75.

Yes, I agree. But 21 is a better age. I'm 19 and have been driving since 17. I actually don't pay much for my insurance. 625 pounds a year First driver.

Im 15 i would like to get my license soon and im pretty mature... so it would be no. But some of my friends and people i know are extremely irresponsible and they drink at a young age, so if people were to be reasonable then yes, but even though im eager to get a car i would say raise is because alot of teens are drinking and driving
