Well I read online awhile ago before I bought the CPU that it runs a little hot and an after market cooler was a good purchase, but should I get one good enough to over clock it or just to cool it down and not over clock?

Yes it does get hot then again I am no hard core gamer, I am a light gamer. It's up to you.

Your idle temps should not be so high, but what are your load temps? It sounds like you may have a bad cooler mount.

Use OCCT to stress test, but don't let any of your core or CPUTIN temps go above 74 Celsius. This is the ma temp before damage for Richland CPUs/APUs.

Your CPU is fantastic for the price.

212 is a great investment.
I run one with my 6300 OC'd to 4GHz and I idle at 7 degrees C and top out at 30 under load.
