-Belial wrote I take my hand off of my heart when under god is said, that does NOT need to be in the pledge of allegiance. I do not stand for a moment of silence either, being silent isn't really honoring anything. I'd rather do something that has a little more meaning that just systematically shutting my mouth.
You're strong enough to take your hand off your heart for the pledge because you don't think god should be in it, but you still say the whole thing every day?
I don't stand or say anything. I don't really care. The country is great but I'm not reciting a poem every morning so everyone knows I'm not a communist.

She should be quiet and respectful. Does she not appreciate what our Men and Woman do everyday to protect us? Obviously she needs a lesson. Also at our school we are not required to say it as long as we put our hand on our heart, face the Flag, and remain silent for a minute. But I always say it.

The pledge shows a sign of respect for them men and women who fought for your country, your not forced to stand. I admit it I don't stand for the pledge but I show my respect by staying silent, and I do this because the only time you do the pledge basically everyday is when your in school. Your mom and dad don't wake up in the morning and do the pledge before they go to work. After you leave school you personally may never do the pledge again. Plus you know how it is there is always that "one person" who doesn't care.

Not saying the pledge doesn't make you a communist. Plus communism itself works but when your country is run by dictators such as Cuba, or North Korea then its bad.

Communism doesn't work.
If everyone was equal, equal pay, equal living, equal everything, people have nothing to strive for.
What's the point in working hard if you're going to get the same amount of money at the end of the day as the guy next to you any way?
Nobody would innovate, people would get lazy and depend on the Government, and then the country would fall behind technologically, which is exactly what Russia did, not once did it pass up America when it came to things like car fuel efficiency.
It works on paper, but without free markets, a communist society, even without dictatorship, just doesn't work.

Actually, I get what your saying but communism people don't rely on the gov't the gov't yeah maintains the economy but you know if every one is equal then everyone is happy because your not separated by class since everyone is equal. All forms of gov't work in their own sense, maybe not in yours but others.

Equality doesn't work when you put it alongside human greed.
Communism works only in a fairytale world where everyone is nice and gets along fine, it's the same with anarchism.
Everyone won't be happy, everyone will be frustrated that no matter how hard they work, they'll never get paid more than the guy standing next to them.
Everyone always wants more money, and when they know they won't get it, they get lazy, a whole country of lazy people and eventually the country fails.
The whole equality business doesn't work either anyway.
There are always going to be different classes of people, we're a judgemental species, and the fundamental flaw is, how is there equality if the Government is in charge?

I believe they should at least stand and be silent. The majority of the time it's foreigners, and they love to come to our country for the freedoms and economic prosperity, yet they don't even respect it.
It's the least they can do.
It's the least they can do.

Well considering that it's in your rights as a citizen of the US to have the freedom of religion, i believe that people have the right to do whatever they want, to either stand up or not.
