OGTripleOG wroteIt worked before sure. But being grounded is hardly a punishment. If I get hit hard it will not deter me from doing it again. It will simply motivate me to not get caught again.Beloved wroteThat doesn't change a kids mind.OGTripleOG wroteBeloved wrote Well if you teach your kids discipline this will not happenthat doesn't work now and days, kids arent afraid of being whooped, because they know that that doesn't happen for long anyways and being grounded gives them more ideas of escaping.
Its a fact
If i had a son and he had done something really bad then a few slaps and get him grounded
it should teach him the ways
Trust me it will work and im disciplined

Cerebellum wroteAgain with the parents, yes its some parents fault, but most of it is on the child themselves. As you saw in one of the guys post it wasn't his parents fault but his own. I hope he's doing good though. I get what your saying about recklessness but it not teen pregnancy and parents fault or at least all of it.It started to happen when all the teenage girls (from 13-16) started getting pregnant & not caring lol.
They weren't responsible or disciplined enough to know how to actually raise their child well. That is why you see half these kids doing
all the wreckless stuff we witness them doing. (because the parents let their kid do whatever and get away with whatever he does!).
Also, I fully agree with you. I wish it was how it used to be.

And Social Media. Parents and Kids focus way too much on Facebook, Twitter, Etc.
(to me all it is, is home of the ignorance and drama.)

It's just the human race adapting I'm sure it won't be that bad in the future.
Anyway this is nothing, look at Kony and the child soldiers killing their parents.

Fusey wrote I love rant sections on forums.
Generation isn't really going bad. It's like when are parents were little everyone drank in pubs and it was nothing..
Now smoking is nothing in are generation.
The part which I have bolded didn't really make any sense whatsoever. Something about pubs? What about them?
The part which I have italicised is also wrong. I smoke, well I can legally smoke so there is nothing wrong with it(legally speaking). Most people I know who don't smoke, think that it is a foul and disgusting habit so no, smoking is not "nothing in are generation". Also, around 50 years ago, smoking was thought to be healthy and there were quite literally 8/9 year olds chewing tobacco and smoking so it was a lot more common than it is today.
Beloved wrote Well if you teach your kids discipline this will not happenNot even remotely true. I was as you say, "disciplined" as a child. I am not rude or cheeky and I respect my elders, but that's because of who I am, not the way I was raised. When I was 13 years old, I started smoking to try and look cool, not because I wasn't disciplined.

It really is the parents fault. As a teenager you're not supposed to be making your own decisions. Your parents do most of the decision making. Kids who are corrupt in our generation were raised by their parents, who acted the same way when they were a teenager. If you can't finish school because of something you could have prevented (even if your parents didn't care), you are pathetic and weak.

Electrics wrote Because they are all spoiled and don't need to worry about working for anything so they get lazy and resort to behavior like you saw. They have nothing better to do and popular media is convincing them to act like that.
Agreed. Much of our world is influenced by media and becoming popular so people act out and become lazy.

See this is what I mean about this generation, all this pointless negativity. Look its not parents fault, its the life choices they make, when your in high school you have a clean slate, that means if you messed up in your junior high you can have a chance to change that, but thats your choice, if you do it you will achieve good life goals or modern life. Not homeless, working minimum wage living in a shelter home. Do good in school and dont go on the wrong path. Parents cant keep up with their kid once thy leave to school, they can only call or go themselves.

Yet at 18, a teenager has to make decisions that will impact their entire life and future. But I guess we should have parents make those decisions, yeah, I can imagine all of the people going into fields that they don't like because their parents made them.
But, I suppose you're right. I kind of feel guilty for violating this rule, as I did not tell my parents I could sign up for a TTG account Guess I should have asked for their permission, as it obviously was a decision I was forbidden to make on my own.
