Literate wrote Take control and do what? If they force fed him they'd be arrested for child abuse. If they made him go and exercise they'd be arrested for child abuse. He's 11, not 3, he knows what's good for him and what isn't.

If there was only healthy food in the house, he wouldn't have a choice.
That isn't force feeding. That is being a parent.

Its a 50/50 situations here, the child ate so much not the parents fault, the parents feed him too much their fault but honestly I hope this kid losses some weight and gets more fit

A change in the diet and exercising would sort the problem out.

If this kid wasn't so young, only then would I consider this non-sense.

The kid will eat what is given to him.
He's not even old enough to have a car to buy his own food so only his parents are to blame.

Arresting them for that? This world is so weird these days. So what if he's 11? He should know whats good and whats bad for him. He's not 3 years old that gets fed by his parents by a spoon. He eats himself. Therefore its his own fault.

I do believe its the parents fault but arresting them is not going to make it any better in my opinion its just going to give the boy more issues.

More of a case of bad parenting. During a pretty crucial time in a child's life - exposure to the news like this as well, nonetheless, could also impact him in the future.

This is just disgusting. Why would you do that to your child? These parents need sorting out.

Literate wrote What absolute nonsense.
The kid knows that eating a load of crap is going to make him overweight, they can't force feed him vegetables or make him exercise. Arresting the parents for this is like arresting the parents of a thief. They know the consequences, it's their fault.

This is exactly my thoughts!!
