I think it's very unhealthy to let your kid get into this kind've shape. I'm glad they are going to be making him workout.

Its not really the parents fault unless they are shoving fatty foods down his throat. But in my house right now there is lots of crisps and biscuit but also lots of fruit and vegetables and I have the choice what I want to eat and limit myself.

But if this kid has only fatty food in his house and not a choice of good or bad food I can see why the parents would be to blame.

It's funny because it's usually the UK people that say Americans are fat and lazy and then this comes up, it cracks me up.

For an 11-year old boy thats pretty over weight. If the quote says the parents are going to "whip" him into shape how long is that gonna take O_O

If he's 210 pounds and loses 2 pounds a week it will take him a whole year to reduce his weight to a suitable 106 pounds. 2 pounds a week is a lot of exercise. Especially since he needs to build muscle as well.

These parents seriously need to get him on a special dieting and exercise plan. They also need to pay attention to their kids more. Still thought that kid should know when to stop eating...
