Yes it's harder, but it's only harder because of the lifestyles we chose to live now compared to what it was like back in the day... We have to keep up with life

Expensive > Challenging
The cost of college is the problem. Not the difficulty.

Our education system is pushing for better outcomes for us so we can get a better job.

Example: My IT a level teachers pushed me where I thought I was limited. They gave me support and now look, ive completed my A levels with a good grade looking for an apprenticeship.

Yeah, there was more jobs back then, but now, there are so many ways to get them. If your not putting in the effort, then you aren't going to get far my friend.

Some things are definitely harder now a days, such as getting a job.

Years ago, it mattered more of how you were in the interview in a job, now it is all needing A*'s and experience, but we can't get experience without a job...

But other things are much easier for us now too.

I agree we have it easier in some ways but in others we do not

Like in work I was discussing my pension? and to be honest looking at it, I wont get much of a pension compared to people who have on now

Their extending the age you can take your pension and everything, also the job issues, back when my parents worked, the economy was booming, now where in serious debt and you have x100 more chance of loosing your job, trust me I work 40 hours a week

I started off as an apprentice for a company and after a year they where looking to sack me because the recession has hit us hard

we may have better technology but god is life hard sometimes, slumping out 40 hours a week on a job you could possibly lose at anytime?

Then going back on dole, I'm 19 & god help my kids, this generation is getting worse because of the economy and the government

I completely agree with you. Now it's much harder to get into good college's and have a nice future and our parents put so much pressure on us to do good that we choke under the pressure and do bad.

Nooooo lol.

This generation has everything handed to them. I had the privilege growing up farming and I took after my hard working parents. Now that everything is digital, that line of work is practically ruined. Now all food is filled with GMO's . Life was so much simpler then, and also Jim Croce was still alive lol.

This is exactly the same as my opinion! Thank you for understanding
