Compare the other ways people get killed i.e. knives, cars, other weapons besides guns?

Sorry for the double post but that comment is ridiculous, how many of those crimes are in the US as well with 313 million people. The fall in gun crime comes with the restriction of guns, that much is clear to anyone with a brain.

If we were to compare the other way around (Our gun crime vs USA knife crime), heres a quick demonstration of how you would get your answer:
"UK gun offences in the last period were 11,227, while knife offenses in the US were 192,230. That corresponds to per capita numbers of .00018 to .00062"

Alright you liberal, lets ban knives, lets ban cars, lets ban spoons because they make people fat. IS that better you lib?

Why are you calling him a liberal like it's an insult?

Also, I debated the argument of comparing guns to other objects which cause deaths on this page Forums/t=6597554/antigun-people/start=80.html , you can see the whole debate in the quotes on my post.
DICE didn't reply so maybe you could read through and explain to me where I'm wrong?

I'd hate to be a liberal, he should be ashamed to be one. They're the cause of the downfall of America. Also, in your post you said guns are made to kill, yeah that's true in war. When I use a gun, I use it for target practice and fun. Not to kill because I ain't deranged and all that.

I said guns are made to damage things. In your case, a target.
Spoons are not made to damage things, neither are knives unless we're talking about huge machetes used for chopping through forested areas [or whatever else you would use a machete for?] and neither are cars.

Those objects can still damage things. There was one lady who ran a bunch of people over ON PURPOSE. Should we put a restriction on cars too?

Did you read through my previous posts?
The primary purpose of a car is to get a person from point a to point b.
The primary purpose of a gun is to damage things.

Killing a person by shooting them is fulfilling the primary purpose of a gun, while running someone over isn't fulfilling the primary purpose of a car, it's a side effect.

I don't want guns banned in America, I think it would be a silly thing to do, but I don't like this argument of, 'Well then we should ban all of these other things too because they kill people as well.'

Not we, you.
I'm agreeing and disagreeing with you both on different points.

I think guns should be allowed in America, but I think the argument he was using to demonstrate this is flawed.
So right there I don't see how I'm a liberal if I disagree with you, but we're both apparently liberals.
