Knih wrote Well, time to be " that " guy and receive hundreds of down votes for airing my opinion.

I'm in no ways " anti gun " but I do agree there should be a limit to gun control. Look at the amount on gun crime in America. The general crime, mass shooting, school shootings etc. That's what happens when guns are just as obtainable as cigarettes.

Now look at countries like England, France, etc. Nothing really happens here because of a strict gun control. So yeah, I'd rather live in a place with gun control where I know I won't get shot up than be " OMG DONT BAN GUNS WE NEED THEM " and have school being shot up.

Gun crime may not happen there as much, but more crime does happen in Britain and other paces with gun bans. Thats a fact, so the US is safer to live in than any of the countries you listed. I have a question for you, do criminals follow laws? So would they follow a anti gun law, NO it would make it EASIER for them to commit crime. But then you ask they couldn't get guns anymore, um the black market.... I respect your opinion, but every fact goes against anti gun laws.

Great response man. Also, for people who believe in gun control... There was a California state rep. (who was for gun control) that was caught smuggling/trafficking guns... lol That shows how smart liberals are. Never do they think guns will get into the U.S. after laws are implemented that supposedly don't allow guns.

I'm not anti-gun, but I do think guns should be restricted. Just because I believe the they should be restricted, doesn't mean that I think people should be stripped of their guns.

Plus the point about having more guns is better safety wise and their is more crime in countries with tighter gun restrictions because "criminals" aren't going to follow the laws anyway is stupid. "Murderers" aren't following the law anyway so should we just allow murder and see how the country slowly dies off?

Again, I'd like to repeat that I'm fine with people owning guns but with restrictions.

I'm expressing my view and if you vote me down you are ignorant.

What type of restrictions would you recommend to be implemented into the system of owning guns?

Compare the other ways people get killed i.e. knives, cars, other weapons besides guns?

I disagree, if everyone owned a gun do you not think there would be a lot more gun crime? Opinion is fine but your opinion is in my eyes, foolish.

I never really thought about it like that till you wrote that quote!

Crime isn't caused because of guns or knives. It's things people say/do.

Sorry for the double post but that comment is ridiculous, how many of those crimes are in the US as well with 313 million people. The fall in gun crime comes with the restriction of guns, that much is clear to anyone with a brain.

If we were to compare the other way around (Our gun crime vs USA knife crime), heres a quick demonstration of how you would get your answer:
"UK gun offences in the last period were 11,227, while knife offenses in the US were 192,230. That corresponds to per capita numbers of .00018 to .00062"
