So im moving my room around and re-arranging my 'setup'
I Have the 360 E:
As far as i know it's only got one fan (shown on the side in pic) but idk about any other intake/exhaust.
Would it be better to lay the 360 down or stand it up?
like i said im unaware of the intakes/exhausts apart from the main fan so im not sure.
Is a certain way more benficial for my console?
Thanks

I believe that having the Xbox standing up can possibly scratch disks inside. But I might be wrong. And I highly recommend you put it flat down so if it cannot fall and that will be trouble if it does...

All the games i play i have on my HDD, so the disc's dont even spin whilst inside, also i have something a couple inches away from the console so if it was to fall somehow it'd just hit the side and stay slanted, as there's support both sides to stop that.

I think having it standing up does give it the higher possibility of the disk getting scratched and messed up, so keeping it laying flat would probably be the best result. Best of luck on completing your rearrangement.

It should be safe then. It should not do not harm then, but I would personally have it flat, but as I said, if it is %100 safe, then have it standing.

I've always had mine standing up, it can't fall because it's not sticking out and its like in a corner.
Edit: i have to have mine standing up though because if it's flat, my disc tray won't open lol.
i took it apart, worked for one day laying down then went again so f it

I don't think it matters tbh

I keep mine on it's side, more convenient for space and easier to put disks in

I have mine stood up like on the image provided by you above. Like this, I have never had any problems with my games or console.

I have always had mine standing (I still have it) because I even have a case that supports it. Just dont move it when playing games and it should be fine.

I have mine on its side.
If I remember correctly the 360 main vent sits at the bottom.
So I wouldn't use it sitting on carpet.
