fredpiels wrote After my first series of test, I then tried this countless times over a series of 3 or 4 hours in actual game play last night. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE. Trust me I wanted there to be a nice little edge that I could get on the competition, but in the end there was no difference.

In asking around I got the same response that a previous poster already came across, that is these defaults won't be picked up AFTER you have already started a game.

Where it explains the different options, then says:

Note
If you set up or change a default setting after you've already played the game, the game won't pick up the changes on its own. Default settings are only picked up the very first time you play the game.

As I said before, if it helps you think there is less recoil, then that is awesome, but in reality it is nothing more then a placebo.

How come you can do the 12 sensitivity then ?!?!?!? Exactly ..... GTFO Theres a video what else do you want....

This Video Was Taken From "Mamba" For People To View. (As People Are Continuously Asking For A Tutorial.)

Note: Reticle Lens/Dot And Colour = The Same - This Will Improve Recoil Significantly.

The funny thing about that video (besides that it is in a private match that I think the OP claims this "glitch" doesn't work on) and the one posted right after your comment here, is that the bullet spread of the unadjusted gun seems to be very similar to the bullet spread to that which was displayed in second video with this "glitch" turned on. The 12 sensitivity is similar to this as well, no difference, you are only perceiving a difference because you want to. Once again, the placebo effect. But as I keep saying, if you think it works for you, then by all means go for it.

I'm not sure this really works.

The game defaults in the profile are for convenience purposes. Everytime you load a new game, it will look at your profile and set the in-game options to those defaults.

All the videos shown so far so 1 magazine with the setting and one off.

I think you'd need maybe 20+ mags that consistently showed less recoil to make a case.

Also, what does auto-center do?

Theoretically it should bring the gun back to center quicker since the game is "automatically" doing it for you. You might want to tread carefully though, the Koolaid drinkers tend to get a little pissy on this one.

But is the game default settings something that is actively happening during all games?

Does it work similar to how PC graphic driver settings can actively override the in-game settings?

Or is it more of a template that when a game loads the first time, it reads the defaults and attempts to configure in-game options to match your defaults to save you some time?

That's what I'm confused about.

TTG-FR3SH wrote THIS GLITCH IS NOW CONFIRMED TO WORK ON ALL Call Of Duty Games!

For other COD games start this glitch off in a xbox live multiplayer party.

1. Go to Black Ops Multiplayer

2. Click on Player Match

3. Press the guide button.

4. Press RB until you are at the settings portion.

5. Click on Profile

6. Go down and click on Game Defaults

7. Go to Action

8. Turn auto-center on. [You can turn on auto-aim if you prefer]

9. Now rapidly press B until you are back at custom classes.

Now your done! Reduced recoil on all weapons!

Please +rep and/or thank this topic if it worked for you.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS DOES NOT COMPLETE ERASE RECOIL, HOWEVER IT DOES SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCE IT.
