Okay so basically, I'm ranting on the privileges people with disorders get. In my AP Calculus class, I have to take care of TWO people with disabilities. It's not even major disabilities! One has to be carried in a wheel chair and has slight down syndrome and one has intellectual disability. I have to right down notes for them, carry their books which has caused me to be tardy to my next class four times and I have explain to them what my teacher is explaining.

This isn't just World History or Biology, this is AP Calculus! How am I supposed to take care of myself and two other people in the class when this is my MOST important subject. When I say, "Hold on let me finish a problem" or "Wait, let me right this down", they complain an I get fussed at for "being disrespectful" or being a jerk.

They have classes at my school for people with disabilities so why are they in an Advanced Placement math class!? I am on the brink of a C in that class because of this.

I tried talking to administration but they think I'm being rude or think I have all the time in the world to teach these kids when I'm being taught myself.

This is outrageous! I'm not a special ed. teacher so why am I teaching?

Honestly, you don't have to do this there is no way they can hand you there problems legally. I'd go back to administration and kick em' in the throat...

That reaction XD kick em I. The throat

Establish wrote Privileges?

They're born with disabilities they will have for the rest of their life. There's a reason why they need help, because they can't do what the average person could do on their own. And they will never be able to, because they were born that way. But yeah, they're the ones that are privileged.

Sigh, people these days.

He is at school to learn, he shouldn't have to take care of someone. What I am about to say may seem crazy but, it's not his job. That is like going to a retirement home to see someone and a worker comes up to you and ask you to watch someone for a few hour's and they don't give you a choice. The school should actually hire someone to help the special need's student.

If he volunteered to help out that would be different, but from what he said that doesn't sound like the case.
The way I got into this was that one day Eddie(the student) was absent and when he came back, I offered to give him my notes from the chapter before and my teacher paired me up with him to write some of his work he didn't understand and now it's me helping bring his books to his 4th period class and having to type his essays(not write, he does that himself).

Thank's for the better understanding. If it is effecting your grades you should show the administration at your school the differences.

You shouldn't have to be doing their notes and such for them. You aren't obligated to do so. Tell the teacher about your problem, if she doesn't fix it go to the office and speak to a higher administrator!

Legally a school cannot require you to do this. IT sates clearly anything that has a negative affect on learning cannot be tolerated. Thats why in public schools inappropriate clothing and jewelry is not allowed. So if this is having a negative effect on yourself your education (becoming late/added stress) have a very good case to bring before your principle/teacher to have a aid or someone else do this. I know that in my class the teacher must print out notes everyday after class and give it to the students.
