Remove the device in your device manager, and plug it back in to download the drivers for the device.

I'd say first off check all the drivers and make sure everything that is installed and updated. I don't know much about snowballs but that'd be my first check.

Just checked and everything is updated.
Note: I also did what Forest said but it did not work.

Go to your device manager and see if you can or can't scan for new devices. Also Check to see if there was anything else that came with it that isnt plugged in. On a final note Restart Your Computer. Some changes or drives wont take effect until you do so. Also is it to blue snowball mic? If so could be THERE IS NO AUDIO might just be a mic. No stereo no audio just you talking. If thats the case try pulling up a program that records what you say. If it plays what you said then its just audio.

1: Where do I check to see if i can/can't scan for new devices? Plus it does say the blue snowball is there in the device manager
2: Nothing else came with it, just the mic, the stand and the usb thing.
3: When I read this I really wished that restarting it would work. Apparently not.
4: Yes it is a Blue snowball mic. And the first thing I did was open up sound recorder but that little green bar to say how loud you are doesn't show up.
