Pros:
Can learn things on your own from tutorials on the web instead of just your general education from the outside world.

Can meet new people that you could of never possibly talked to before social media was invented due to the distance.

Sort of joins up with the last sentence but you could talk to people that have the same tastes as you like for example for me it would be anime.

You can find a lot of stuff to keep you entertained in social media like humorous Gifs for example.

Cons:

It's an easy place for under aged children to find inappropriate things on the web.

Social media has created another form of bullying. (Cyber Bullying)

A lot of bad people are on social media like for example Paedophiles.

People like me for example procrastinate off social media instead of doing work.

Piracy is made a lot easier through social media.




There's possibly a lot more but can't really think of any more off the top of my head. Well any way thanks for doing the give away and good luck to anyone that's entered.

-Losing friends over simple things because of what you post or who's post or status you like.
-Nobody can be there true self without someone sending them mass hate or making fun of them and then getting hate mail from friends or randoms.

Pro
- Can create good friendships
- Nice for people to express themselves and have new people to meet
- Make more friends

-Nothing its already screwed up to much in my opinion.

My thoughts on social media:
I think it's fine, in a way that people can talk to each other(saying they know each other IRL.) But it can also be bad for hackers and such as well. Or if someone creepy starts stalking you Social media like TTG is okay when I think of it because most of us are all friends here

This is like the third time I had to write this because Safari restarts randomly every time I try to reply. I wish there were discussions like this on here. Not entering the giveaway, wanted to share my response to the topic.

I dislike social media. I have accounts but I avoid expressing my opinions on it. The amount of bigotry on these sites is unbearable.

Pros:
- You can keep in touch with friends and loved ones.
- News can be easily spread and many people can be informed on Today's problems.
- You can meet new people.

Cons:
- Bullying has evolved in to something worst. People can be Anonymous and rumors can be spread quickly.
- Like I said above, expressing your opinion can escalate into problems.
- People care about Social Media more than life itself.

I don't think there's a way to fix/change Social Media.

The pros of social media are 1. The Web has always provided a way for people to make connections with one another, social networking sites made it easier than ever to find old friends and make new ones. 2. It's rare to find someone who hasn't at least heard of Facebook, MySpace, Twitter or one of a hundred other social networks. 3 You could find a job or even a long lost love.
4. You could meet some new relatives that you never knew about.
Some of the cons are 1.There are times when it can feel like you're signing your life away just to get a profile on a Web site. . 2. A "friend" could send you a harmless looking email saying funny joke , you open it and boom you have a virus. 3. Social networking can be both overwhelming and addictive at the same time. If you join every social network and add hundreds of people as friends, you may find yourself checking for updates several times throughout the day when you really should be doing something else.
My final thoughts are the pros for social networking outweigh the cons. And with a few healthy habits, you can avoid or minimize the drawbacks. Just remember to be careful and responsible before you SIGN UP! Thanks again !!!
